On Tuesday, May 2, 2019, the Glassport Borough Police were contacted... by the Paducah Kentucky Police Department in regard to a missing 16-year-old girl. They had reason to believe that the juvenile was with an adult male in Glassport and that he had travelled to Kentucky and returned with her. Over the next few days, the Glassport Police were able to determine the juvenile was in the apartment of the adult and took her into custody. They requested the investigative assistance of the Allegheny County Police and detectives responded. Through the course of the investigation, it was determined that 46-year-old Rory Shelton had met the 16-year-old girl on Instagram. They developed a relationship which resulted in Shelton driving to Kentucky. He met the juvenile and helped her remove her court mandated ankle monitor then drove her back to Glassport. Shelton was arrested and charged with interference with the custody of children, a felony, and obstructing administration of law, a misdemeanor. He was lodged in the Allegheny County Jail. The juvenile female was treated and medically cleared at a local hospital and will be transported back to Kentucky. See More
