Hello!

Today I watched Joe Cook go back to the first school (about a year ago) where I threw him in to run a workshop.

I am ridiculously proud of him. Today one year later, he runs workshops all across the city and passes his incredible knowledge on.

...

Tomorrow a few of us are off to perform in London for Voxburner's event.

Friday I'll be hosting parts of Connecting Communities Symposium.

A week and a half wrapped in one.

Peace and love always.

Hello.
It's been a busy work of workshops. We had a 3 day academy at Shireland collegiate academy with 14 EAL students.
It was beautiful and tiring.
I'm losing my voice all over again too.

...

Tomorrow and Sunday I'm delivering parts of the weekend boot camp Train the Trainer!

Have a beautiful weekend people.

Peace & love always, x

Hello world.

Some may know and some won't, in February 2013 I met Anisa Haghdadi founder and CEO of Beatfreeks.

I joined the team that is Beatfreeks and started performing, facilitating and joined the Youth Steering Committee as Deputy Chair.

...

I went on to coordinate their summer programme, facilitate and perform more, and become Youth Steering Committee Chair.

I founded Creative Superheroes through Powered By, made family, friends, colleagues and mentors through it.

I recently started working as Education Innovator which started of as Schools and Special Projects, coordinating Level UP, school academy days and more.

Today, it makes no difference in the love I have for the organisation, the relationships I built. But I signed a document which kind of makes it official, I now head up Creative Learning at Beatfreeks Consulting.

That is all for today. As well as interviewing for our new Regional Development Manager Role.

Peace & Love, always x

Hi.

Today I turn 22, I'm not one for celebrating but today I'm going to start working on a big piece.

That's my celebration. If I write even the disjointed thoughts about where I want the piece to go I will call it a success.

...

Here's to being one year older, here's to the next year of magic with people who keep my passion burning.

Have a lovely weekend!

Hello!

I hope you're having a lovely day, almost near the weekend now. Today is one of those crazy ideas-meetings-writing kind of day. Its chilled but productive.

As I sit here writing this I am thinking about growing up (used very loosely). I'm turning 22 in a few weeks so I guess its normal to evaluate at this time?

...

It being January too of course!

Sorry for not posting much either, I will record something soon as I haven't been able to write recently. So some old non recorded stuff will be coming up on sound cloud!

Peace & love always, x

Hello.

January is always the time of reflection and resolutions that are broken a few days later.

I've been getting back into work slowly, handling my head and working out what the focus of this year is. My goal for 2015 is to perform at least once internationally, I think thats a pretty good goal to achieve.

...

I hope you've now wished everyone a happy new year and are all set back at work, school and everything else you lovely people do.

I also now will sign off all emails, messages with peace & love always because I wish you all peace & love always and you never know the impact it could have. The power of words.

Peace & love always, x

Hello world.

I went back to work today, after an illness that dragged me down under during the holidays it was good to be back.

So I'm sorry I haven't said this sooner, but Happy New Year to every single one of you. Thank you for following my journey, I hope 2015 is full of passion, positivity and short learning stops. In whatever you do, I'm sending you love and virtual support for you to chase your goal.

...

Have an epic year. I'm excited of what will happen in 2015, so here's to changing the world through poetry, design, media, dance, music, stories, education, activism, artivism, love, nursing, determination and everything else I've forgotten.

It's good to be back.

How many people on my Facebook love and support Birmingham. I mean through and through support Birmingham. Through Benefit Street, Citizen Khan, Ozzy Osbourne to Simon Cowell's Mother Julie support Birmingham?

How many of you support small businesses in Birmingham? From independent coffee, Crafts & Instagram shops?

If every single person that does put in £10 to support Impact Hub Birmingham I think we'd reach target. This will provide a space, for anyone that wants it, in D...igbeth, to work and grow and be their best. We have 4 days to reach £50k and you'd be happy to know the generosity in people. We have less than £15k to raise! Can you help?

How many backers? As you may or may not know I'm planning to have a meal with the homeless every month & a lot of people showed support, If we reach £50k and you've supported in anyway you can- I will double it. And hopefully by the end of 2015, with your support have a lot of stories and made someone's day.

Even a share means a lot. So support Birmingham?

Hello.

It's Christmas Eve. I don't personally celebrate Christmas but if you are I hope it's full of love, food and good company.

This time for me however is special as I start to look back on the year that's once again, flown by.

...

I was rummaging through flyers, tickets and bits of poetry. I found this.

This was my first performance ever, and it wasn't spoken word it was actually a short story at The Town Hall in 2010. However my first workshop ever was in 2009, in Ireland. Time really does fly.

I hope you find something magical in today, have a lovely holiday either way.

I'll be back for the usual New Year, New Me stuff.

Good morning,

Sometime's I feel like I don't know where to post, if I'm having a bad day does that go on my personal Facebook, but is this page only for successes.

I had a bad day yesterday, didn't post about it which I usually turn to. I turned off any technology and wrote a poem to my Grandchildren. I also decided I want to start using my sound cloud more. Spontaneous writing will be uploaded soon.

...

Today, I woke up, in that 'I don't feel like socialising' kind of mood. I wrote a blog for Impact Hub Birmingham - it has a lot of what I want to say to my City, including a poem. https://medium.com/hub-birm…/to-love-birmingham-289886cb4aa8

Enjoy, I hope you have a beautiful Tuesday and you have or have not done your Christmas shopping!

Hello.

I feel so rewarded with love today, I delivered a workshop in Cheltenham with the one and only Joseph Cook.

There was a woman who had written for 10 years came along, very timid and shy. She got emotional right at the beginning because we said a phrase at the same time and she hadn't felt like anybody understood her before. So we talked, and I performed beautiful to just her, with her eyes closed and tears coming down I knew my purpose in that moment when was to mak...e her feel something.

I met poets. Story tellers and got more from them than they probably got from me

I absolutely love it. Words are powerful. So powerful.

I hope you've enjoyed your Thursday, winding down for the weekend.

Sending you a thousand motivational words

Love x

Good morning,

Today is a busy day.

I'll be on ITV Central between 6pm-6.30pm for my FixersUK project about Child Brides. An interview followed by clips of Creative Superheroes in action.

...

Whilst that's on TV I'll be inside Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery (UK) getting ready to perform as part of the 'True To Life' exhibition.

Then I will be heading to Urban Coffee Company to perform at Poetry Jam, performing a piece on Impact Hub Birmingham.

If you're on social media, we want to know what's great about Brum using the hash tag ‪#‎EpicBrum‬ so if you can't be there get involved online too!

I think that's everything. I hope your Thursday is full of inspiration and love.

Hello,

I saw this today and thought I'd share it.

"Infuse your life with action. Don't wait for it to happen. Make it happen. Make your own future. Make your own hope. Make your own love. And whatever your beliefs, honor your creator, not by passively waiting for grace to come down from upon high, but by doing what you can to make grace happen... yourself, right now, right down here on Earth."
