Scientist John All knew that if he couldn't climb out of the glacier, �that crack in the ice would become his grave.

Congratulations to our Chairman, Ellen Lapham! Tonight in Boston, she is being awarded the Heilprin Citation from the American Alpine Club for her conservation work with the AAC, Sustainable Summits Initiative, and co-founding our own American Climber Science Program. Way to go, Ellen!

The American Alpine Club is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Our vision is a united community of competent climbers and healthy climbing landscapes.

Our Executive Director John All is being honored tomorrow evening at the Peruvian Embassy in Washington DC. We've done a lot of great research in Peru and have worked with many Peruvian scientists and students over the years - and the Ambassador wants to celebrate the great things we've done!

Our Executive Director John All will be speaking at Lawrence Berkeley National Labs tomorrow. If you are in the Bay area, join us if you can!
