As a new member they were very unhelpful at answering questions. Everyone I asked a question I was told it would work or I couldn't do it through them. Not helpful to people just trying to get started... with a herd. If your animals are not already registered with them they are basically garbage in their eyes.

Hopefully they will change and accept other associations or believe that judges can tell whether or not an animal is pure bred so that it can be registered. Rant over

I would like to thank the staff of ABGA, especially Aaron and Sonia, for the excellent service we received this week. We needed to get a doe transferred and sent overnight to a third-party address so would arrive in time for the JABGA show this weekend. We got the registration certificate with a day to spare. Good job ABGA!!! See More

By and large I've had nothing but outstanding service from the association and the office. I ordered and paid for my DNA testing from UC Davis. Printed out the form, attached the sample and mailed it... right back in. Got the results back in about 2 weeks, emailed it to the office and had it entered within 2 days. Not to say that there haven't been a couple of hiccups over the years, but what office anywhere in the country can you deal with that doesn't make an occasional mistake? See More

I may not like everything that goes on, but that's true of life. The staff has always been courteous to me and very helpful. So many times I mess up paperwork, they work with me to it straightened out.... The Registry may not be perfect, but we feel like it is the Premier Registry and has been for 21 years. It's really nice to follow a trail of genetics and then try to see if you can find pictures. We hope the Association moves forward for our Boer goats and the Members. Thank you ABGA See More

I have never had any issues with the ABGA. They are the only organization we have to maintain the bloodlines of our Boer goats. If you have problems talk to them, they are there to help, just remember... this is a non profit membership organization and not a big corporation, Kindness and understanding goes a long way to resolving problems. My oldest son has been a member for two years. Now my youngest is old enuff and wants to join. We also want to register our farm. Should we register the farm and both boys can show under it or what... should we do? See More

We're about to tatoo our first kid crop. Do we need to call the office for the first number or do we make up our own sequence with the correct letter for 2013?
