I have dealt with you guys off and on for 20 years. and it's always an issue of some sort. whether it's getting the Membership card we paid for or trying to get the annual release forms or whatever.... Someone always wants to blame another person.
this time I fill out paper work to have 2 kids get annual releases. you send it back for 2 reasons. 1) the paper I filled out says 2017 on the top instead of 2018. there is no other difference. everything we signed was dated correctly. 2) our memberships expire about half way through the year and your rejecting the annual releases. so I am suppose to give up half the year of membership. Why does it matter? I can't use the release at anything except an ama event and if the cards are expired we can't run the event. why isn't some common sense used in the this?

I needed to use your roadside assistance for the first time since I became a member in July of 2010. It was Monday February 26th at 5:18AM Eastern. My truck had broken down on my way to work and woul...d not start again. I called the roadside assistance number on the back of my AMA membership card and gave them my membership number. I was informed by the woman on the phone that my account had been cancelled last year. I was stunned. How could this be. The one time I've needed roadside assistance, in nearly 8 years, it is unavailable to me.

I sent an email explaining the situation and after a week there was no response, so I called today. I believe the woman I spoke to was ‘Ocean’. I explained that I had coverage. It says so on my card, it says so on the receipt from your own website. I had a credit card on file through the website (from what I see anyway….) and the expiration date was 2020.

Ocean explained that didn’t matter and what she sees and what the website shows is ‘two different things’. That’s unacceptable. If my receipt says I have roadside from 9/1/2017-8/31/2018, I expect that to be true.

You just lost a loyal customer that would have otherwise been with you for decades. I’m sure you don’t care. Ocean sure didn’t. I terminated my relationship with your organization today for that very reason.

My husband was involved in a car vs motorcycle accident this last Sunday . The guy driving the car said to the police “I did not see him” .So that got me to thinking how could this have been avoided .... And I have been thinking about ways to get people to pay attention to not just see motorcycles But to hear and see what’s around them. Harley’s have LOUD PIPES Instead of playing “slug bug” why not teach kids how to play a new game looking for motorcycle.think of something that way they can and always will look out for motorcycles. I know from playing slug bug I spot those a mile away to this day. Just a thought. I would love to hear ideas or feed back. It’s a conversation that needs to be addressed with everyone See More

I used my roadside service for the first time yesterday. Absolutely impressed, in love, and happy with the whole experience. Being able to have up to a 35mile tow of any of your vehicles is stellar!! ... My 1955 Chevy pickup was in good hands when a flooded carb left me needing tow. I like the monthly magazines clueing me into moto events. I’m excited to attend my first Vintage Moto Days this year! Thanks AMA!!!!! See More

As far as I am concerned i will not support somerhing that does NOT support me "my 11 yr old daughter" . I find it very sexist if thats what you want to call it , that seems like about every major mot...ocross event that is "AMA" sanction is taking out a girls class . Not the woman's class yet , but the girls class. We have been in contact with many about this and all we get is "its not making the money" but we're told it's not about money! So what is it then?
As a parent we want our children to have fun and excel at something. Kind of hard when things are taken from them and you as a parent can't control it. Race with the boys we are told , and we do that also. But why should you take away what was already there ? There is an abundant of other classes that may be able to combined in 85, 65 , and so on. So maybe the issue is here with AMA, Or with Feld im not real sure, but maybe get some balls and fight for us who pay our memberships. All i know is that i have to explain to my daughter that she cant race with girls again until she is 12 and then she'll be up against women in there 20's and may have been racing for 15 plus years. Good luck baby you're gonna need it. So thanks for helping us out and i hope you all feel real good about leaving out the younger girls. Guess well be saving money this year because we wont be racing AMA. Thanks, yours truly , One of many pissed of Dads.

The AMA is on the wrong side of history.

“We believe that past presidents have overstepped the bounds and the intent of the Antiquities Act by designating far more land as national monuments than wa...s necessary,” said AMA Vice President of Government Relations Wayne Allard. “We applaud President Trump’s order to review these designations and hope that some of these boundaries can be reduced with input from local residents and officials. Waiting 4 hours (So far) for a tow. At least 4 calls in and every call the answer is "45 more min"

So much for AMA Road Side Assistance.

Don't bother, not worth the aggravation.

I just returned from the AMA Vintage Days and what a disappointment it was. I was charged $225.00 for a swap meet vendor space plus $60.00 for myself that I was not told when I purchased the space to ...get in the event. There was 1 food vendor and The restroom (Port-A-Potty) situation was minimal at best. 1 Building with showers. If You were an AMA member you could block Isles with your booth so that traffic would be slowed down to the Isle that they blocked. The AMA states that it cares about its members yet the amount of USED tires that were unsafe to use were being sold everywhere the same goes for out of date helmets. The AMA top Brass should attend an Easyrider Rodeo to see how an event shout be handled See More

Jan's granddaughter locked her keys in her car at my house when she stopped here after her work today. I called my roadside assistance through AMA Life membership and in LESS than 60 minutes the guy here, unlocked the car and went on his way. Thanks AMA for the great service! #539124 See More

I have been a member since the '70's and I have seen many changes, mostly for the good, the political action committees have become the most essential reason to belong at this point. As important as t...he history is, the future of motorcycling is the major issue that needs to be addressed. The AMA is a critical component in securing a future for motorcyclists. See More

Trail Permits and Fees Temporarily Waived

Off-highway vehicle, horse, and mountain-bike trails will reopen on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 12:01 a.m.

NELSONVILLE,... Ohio – Today, Wayne National Forest Supervisor Tony Scardina announced that trail permits and fees for off-highway vehicles, horse, and mountain-bike trail use will be temporarily waived until further notice.

“Last year we proposed trail permit fee changes and conducted public involvement on that proposal. Our next step is to share this proposal with the Regional Recreation Resource Advisory Committee, which will not convene until April 20th. As a result, I have decided to waive the fees until the advisory committee reviews our proposal and a decision is made by the Regional Forester for the Eastern Region. I hope this will reduce confusion as we typically begin selling permits on April 1st, and we would like to avoid changing fees just a few weeks after the permits go on sale.”

If approved, the fee change proposal would eliminate trail permits and fees for horse and mountain-bike trail users, and reduce the annual fee for off-highway vehicles from $45 to $35, and from $24 to $20 for a 3-day pass. There would no longer be a one-day permit.

“Our hope is that we have a final decision by April 30th and can implement the changes if they are approved”, said Scardina. “We will provide more information to the public towards the end of April when we are made aware of the advisory committee’s recommendation and Regional Forester’s decision. We hope riders of all types enjoy this opportunity to experience the wide-range of great trails on the Wayne National Forest.”

All off-highway vehicle, horse, and mountain-bike trails will reopen on Friday, April 13, 2018, at 12:01 a.m. They will close on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at 11:59 p.m. Trails are open year-round for hiking.

Riders are reminded that all other rules and regulations still apply, such as staying on designated trails, wearing a helmet and eye protection if riding an off-highway vehicle, only double riding if the off-highway vehicle is designed for two riders, and no alcohol on National Forest System lands.

Shoei Helmets’ Neotec 2 is the company's newest offering in the modular category. It was introduced at Gasolina, a motorcycle themed café in Oxnard, Calif., on March 8. Years ago, fans of modular helmets had to accept more size and weight for the convenience of a “flip up.” With companies now investing cutting-edge design and engineering into their modulars, those compromises are a thing of the past. The Neotec 2 got the full treatment in terms of aerodynamics, venting, a quick-release chin strap, chin-bar adjustment and out-of-the box integration with Sena’s new SRL communication system. We’ll know how it all works together once we get our hands on one, but what are your first impressions? Do you dig modulars? Does the new Neotec 2 intrigue you?
