Opinions anybody? A local established catering firm is going to start offering a Fundraiser program like Swamp Johns all over North Alabama. They didn't know if... their original name had the pop they needed to go viral like Swamp Johns. So they came to me to come up with a name / concept. I got to thinking, what if they sold good southern food like they did old medicine shows. That got me thinking about O' Brother Where Art Thou? and Pappy O'Daniels and then Soggy Bottom Boys. This would give them a built in mental soundtrack. I pitched this concept but haven't heard back from them. They do more than BBQ- Smoked Chicken and Chicken Finger plates, but I thought the Biscuit Co. wouldn't box them into a category. After all, Swamp Johns doesn't sound that appetizing - makes me think of mosquitoes around an Port-A-John. So would you get excited about the Soggy Bottom Biscuit Food Truck coming to your town?

This week's Golden Possum Award goes to the West Point Scholar Bowl Team. I was flipping through the channels this morning and saw the Alabama State Scholars Bo...wl Quarter Finals. I stopped to watch, I love trivia. I didn't know which schools were competing, but this one team was blowing the other one away. They were killing it! Then they showed the score...Then I saw it was West Point! Wow! Way to go! Thanks for making Cullman County look really intelligent. Sometimes we need the help... Especially when a news crew is asking one of us what the Tornado sounded like... Congratulations guys!

Great news everyone! I'm thinking about opening a new restaurant in Cullman. After all, Panda Express doesn't serve Panda, So I wouldn't have to serve Possum. I can't believe it took me this long to get around to making this one.

JERRY CLOWER. This is a few years before his official entertainment career had started, while he was still selling fertilizer.

It's Absolutely Amazing what ...y'all have accomplished in such a challenging professional sport. My weekly American Possum marketing award, "The Golden Possum" goes to "Just Jes Photography". I saw her Minivan today at Walmart. Super Clever!!! I HAD to stop... and take a pic. That's how you stand out. One idea to help that great idea reach more people...using script sometimes makes things hard to read. (millennials don't learn cursive in school) I thought it was Ges Photography. Maybe re-name the facebook address at the bottom. FB/JustJesphotography/ Just a thought.
