Chemistry class - professor told us the steps on how to solve equation. We used those steps, were told we were wrong, showed her the steps - she retracted her statement saying she was wrong, we were ...correct and ended up saying "this is why you're the students, I don't have to go to college anymore."
Psychology class - apparently this department does not have guidelines for grading. Each teacher "sets the requirements for their course. (told to me by chair - I have the email)" I got 25 points off my final paper which was opinionated and have no clue why. I have asked the professor twice through email, emailed the chair for answers, no rubric for grade, no answers - so how do I know where my faults are? Did I get a grade based solely on this teacher's opinion of my opinionated paper?

I’ve been a student at AACC since 2015 and I love it. Working there has also been a very developmental experience for me. I am at AACC for several hours each weekday, and I feel more comfortable there... than I do at home. I wish they had housing and four year degrees because I would gladly stay here forever. See More

Apparently I typed in a wrong bank account number when sending my son's tuition in. Today I got a very threatening letter that my credit will be affected as a result and that legal action will be purs...ued. Don't you think people make honest mistakes? When I received his invoice I was given just a little over a week to make payment. Your website is not user friendly at all. I myself need a college course just to navigate it. I don't appreciate how I was treated. Does it matter to you? See More

I had the privalge to attend the nursing graduation yesterday. While I am so proud of my daughter and er major accomplishment I was very dissapointed to attend a graduation that did not have the Natio...nal Anthem presented. It was disheartning to me and my family as we have a very strong military background. This time I was the one that is offended. I gave six years of my life in the USMC defending this great nation. I need to know when it became ok to cater to someone that is offended by our flag and National Anthem. AACC I truly believe you have dropped the ball on this one. WE ARE AMERICA!

I've been attending AACC for almost two years now. I couldn't give anything less than five stars. This is because the classes are wonderful and challenging, the activity board pulls together so many g...reat events, the library is where I live (I'm so fine with that) and there are so many groups to get involved in. Truly, it's a great place. See More

Our family went to the Breakfast with Santa event. It was so nice of them to provide free breakfast, crafts and a free ornament picture with Santa. The college is huge and beautiful.

Your customer service needs a major upgrade. Some people are great but most of your staff is rude and needs to be taught how to deal with people! I think your teachers are wonderful but staff kills yo...ur college. I will never recommended because of your staff alone. They are just plan awful!!!! See More

AACC is an awesome community college, however I hate the smoking on campus! No one listens to the 25' sign at the doors. I wish we were smoke free; or at least the security would shoo people away from... the doors I don't appreciate walking into a cloud of smoke when I'm not a smoker. See More

I am AACC! After being out of high school 16 years, I knew I needed to prove to my self higher education is attainable. I was an average student in high school so I was intimidated by getting back int...o the classroom. Something has flipped since high school. I became a fiercely dedicate student. I graduated AACC in 2014. Through the articulation agreement (guaranteed acceptance of my credits), I transferred to UMUC and graduated with BBA in 2015. I pursued my MBA in business admin and graduated 2016. I know this is an aggressive pathway to education but I was motivated and hungry. It all started at AACC. My success started here.
I am AACC.

Just starting classes but so far so good. My instructors are cool, the classes (my classes) are not too big. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My only complaint might be issues of Tech but tha...t hasn't diminished the overall experience. See More

Thanks to all those involved with Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) student-led Hispanic Youth Mini Symposium at AACC today! Around 250 high school students met peers from different schools, attended leadership workshops, discussed college opportunities, toured campus, and celebrated Hispanic culture through music, art, shared stories, and experiences. Pictured is a current AACC student speaking to the high school students about his own experiences. Great job and good times!

AACC is proactive in educating our faculty, staff and students about the signs and dangers of opioid addiction. In this The Capital piece, a new policy being considered “helps us strengthen what we already have in place” as part of a "full-court press, one where county officials at all levels are taking additional steps to fight the crisis."

If you or someone you know at AACC is struggling with substance abuse of any kind, we offer services and support that can help-

Anne Arundel Community College will discuss adopting a policy that would see all full-time students undergo opioid addiction awareness training and purchase naloxone.
