We brought friends from Oklahoma. All 6 of us had a great time. We went on the Behind the scenes tour. First with Maryann for first floor tour and then with Ele...na for second floor and basement. Both were full of great information and we learned many things about the Mott family history. Elena worked for Mrs Mott for the last 5 years of Mrs. Mott's life. Her personal relationship with Mrs Mott and others that worked there at the time, made the whole experience of the tour very special. See More

This was my first time with the grandkids to Applewood Open house. We enjoyed it very much. A lot of things to do and see here. Free apple cider and apple sampl...ing. A lot of music around the compound. Pumpkin decarating, tour around the house which once C. S. Mott and Ruth lived. They open for tour to the public thru out the year and many special events thru out the year too. It is the jewel of Flint area! See More

We had an amazing day! It has become a tradition to bring my grandmother to the gardens every year for her birthday. She is 93 years old this year and we had ...four generations with us today. Everyone at the estate treated her like royalty.
Deb gave us a wonderful personalized tour through the grounds on a golf cart. She shared do much information and history with us. Deb is a phenomenal woman and she took such great care of us today. We can't wait to see her again soon.
Thank you, Applewood, for being part of our family and giving my grandmother a gift that money can't buy.

We are so blessed to have the Applewood estate in our hometown! We attend events here every chance we get and they never disappoint. From the incredibly knowled...geable staff to the amazing team of volunteers everyone you meet there has a passion for sharing history and nature facts with the community. We had the amazing opportunity after storytime today to actually pick and eat an apple from the orchard! So cool! Tonight they partnered up with communities inc to put on a family movie night. It was very well organized. It was a blast. Earlier this summer we had the opportunity to plant some green beans in the educational garden, and the kids LOVE going back every week to see how they have grown! Thank you. Thank you so much for all you do to give back to our community. See More

Took the mini tour of the mansion and have plans to go back in the summer for the full tour, includin...g making reservation to tour the 2nd level. Still had some beautiful roses blooming, as well as other hardy blooming plants to enjoy. Great grandson happily collected candy at the several check points! See More

Every person who has ever lived or worked or gone to school in Genesee County should be required to visit Applewood and take the tours! We came home to visit family here and spent two afternoons. We will be coming back!

We harvested four bushels of Stayman Winesap apples from the old, original, at least 101-year-old tree this morning!
Might be the last time...the trunk is continuing to decay.
