Visited after a friends recomendation. 3 small children with us.

A lovley garden centre and child friendly...

Visited the cafe the staff where friendly helpful and full of fun

I have a gastric sleeve so have dietry requirments and it was no issue at all. We wjere made to feel most welcome

I will say they serve the lattes red hot so ask for a bit of cold milk

The dinosaurs around where great to see and they really have a huge variety of stock to choose from and very well priced compared to many big centres like this.

The play area is greta for kids so you can eat shop and relax with the family

Brill place will visit again

I am told christmas time is exceptional so will be checking that out

Thanks for a lovley afternoon

We came here yesterday with our little ones 2 & 4 to see santa. It was magical, the staff were lovely and helpful, the kids loved it. Big improvements from last year, much more room and santa had so m...uch time for the children. People on here whinging about the added cost of a bear. The elves say "please will you help santa to fill the bears with the elves cause there are lots to do" if your child gets it in their head it's theirs to keep then who's problem is that?
We did buy the bears, we thought it was a lovely touch. Santa only comes once a year so make the most of it.

Went to see Santa today and it was magical!! The elves were so cute with our 2 year old, she even went to them and happily completed the craft activities. We made a lovely bunny and Santa was fantasti...c. The whole experience was ran well and all staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. Our little girl's face when she saw the bunny again was worth the extra £ , but I didn't feel we were forced into buying it.
The whole morning was gorgeous, we will be back next year.
Also the cakes are amazing!!!

Visited on Sunday with my 2 children for a very poor Christmas event. This was something that the children where really excited for it’s so close to xmas. The magic just didn’t happen from the min we ...got there we didn’t have a Clue where to stand nobody helping. The elves looked so mirerable. The workshop was a joke the kids have to pick a teddy to stuff but if the parent have gone with out a extra £20 plus in their purse the children would be disappointed as the price for the bear was ridiculous. The amount for the tickets was already enough. The room had glitter and glue all over the the teddy was covered in it. It’s another money making scheme which is so sad. The gift from Santa was so impersonal didn’t get to chat photo with him and the gift was rubbish quality for what we paid. It was a very over booked event that we will never go to again and think that the extra money for training shouldn’t happen and bouncy castle etc all extras. The day turned out a fortune for crap I am so disappointed and having to wait around for hours See More

Visited today with my 5 year old daughter for the least magical christmas experience. There were far too many people on a conveyer belt system which felt rushed and very impersonal. We has the least j...olly elf "guiding us through" who really did not look happy in her job and did nothing to fill the kids with christmas cheer. We went to stuff bears on tables that were so covered in glue and glitter from previous people that we had to hold them in the air to do them to stop them getting spoiled. Others had resorted to doing it on the floor - very magical!)
The room we saw santa in was lovely and Santa tried really hard to tell the kids a lovely story, however the chance to actually speak to the big guy was completely missing. I thought that was half the point of going to see Santa, so that you can tell him what you would like and that you have been nice etc. There was a photo opportunity if you could get near but all the kids swarmed at once it felt really rushed and like we were in the way. Would have been nice to have had a minute of one on one time to talk to him and get a quick photo. I am really disappointed as this is the only christmas experience we booked this year so she will now not get a chance to talk to santa.
Also the train ride that was advertised when booked was not on which was disappointing.
I liked the idea of the bear and was happy to buy it as my daughter loves it but this involved another long queue, surely there must have been a better way to organise this than having to re-queue to get the bear back?
I really feel that the "magical experience" was taken away by trying to get too many people through and make more money.
I will not be back in future.

Me and my 2 boys went to see Santa today, and WOW! It was AMAZING! Boys loved it and got really excited when they were asked to help stuff the bears for Santa as time was running out the elves were ge...tting tired. Even better you could buy the bears at the end if you wish to do so but it was made clear that you didn’t have to. Santa was outstanding and took his time to talk to the children and and to tell a story, there faces lit up when the presents dropped down the chimney, very magical. We had a train ride and the staff were very happy and helpful, train driver was very cheerful. We then went to the cafe for lunch to finish the day off. Would definitely recommend this to all. What a total let down santa experience was this year, we walked into the room no one spoke, explained to the kids they could make a bear, told them how to do it, what it was for, they must have spoke ...5 words between them and 2 were 'excuse me' when they tried to get past with the bag of teddies, they ran out of stuffing for the teddies and there was no pictures for the kids to colour in, not even a song with the kids before santa, santa was good but the boring experience before totally put a downer on the whole thing, this was our 4th year and its our last!! This is our 3rd year visiting santa here. Normally a magical experience but after the visit today we will never go back. Only 2 of the elves got involved with the activities (there was 6 in the room, ...the others just stood talking to eachother). All they were bothered about was pushing the bears on us. Santa was just saying loads of random stuff that made no sense, no nice story or anything like that, just something about a boy who was on the naughty list but got put on the good list because he made friends with naughty boys. Just not magical at all.
Dont waste your money people. We went to cherry hill a week ago and that was fantastic.

Disgusted with our visit on Saturday first time I have been and will be the last. Took my two grandsons Santa asked My grandson of 5 yrs waiting for an operation because of hearing problems what sch...ool he attended Jayden obviously didn’t hear him but then Santa persisted to ask him the same question over and over again, getting frustrated that he wasn’t getting an answer it didn’t help that the room was really dark. thank god Jayden just stood there oblivious..I wanted to punch him but ha-ho it is Christmas.
We had read up before we went so the added expense of the teddy’s was not a surprise to us.
On the plus side the kids loved the train ride.

Visited two weeks ago, all excited as I have been before.. feeling a bit conned as we were asked to pick a bear and build it, which made my children think this was the present they would receive...(wh...ich took my son a long time to decide on a teddy) to then be told we would have to purchase the teddy at £10 each for two children..

so the children were made to pick, build, pick a heart, read a poem, write there name on them, but them in Santa’s sack... then to be told ask your parents to buy them at the till

baring in mind I had paid £22 for them to see Santa... I wasn’t going to pay £44 pound for the visit and two teddies...

The presents were naff too of Santa, and the whole Santa thing was not as good as previous years

I just didn’t feel this year was as good as previous years and I have been going for the last 4 years

Such a shame compared to last year visiting Santa with our 2 boys! Last year felt magical and personal whereas this year it felt rushed and just a money making scheme. 45 minutes behind schedule wasn’...t our idea of fun. Very disappointed to say the least we were looking forward to it with us having such a great time last time. I recommended this place to a lot of people who also felt quiet let down. Hopefully next year will be like 2016 when we visited otherwise it will be a miss from us there on See More

Absolutely disgusted with our visit yesterday -the 'build a bear' is an absolute con!! Your child is encouraged 2 pick a bear & stuff it & after they do that you are then told that this is an extra £1...0! No signs up explaining this & no one told us at the till on arrival. Then u share your Santa experience with loads of other families & kids - not personal at all & then the present we got was clearly a poundland reject & not at all age appropriate for my child!!

Plus the rip off cafe staff were very rude & unhelpful when i asked for a clean tray as all the ones out were covered in milk & ketchup.

Do not recommend & will not be coming back! Total rip off at £10.95 each!

Visited the santa experiance today & it was lovely my daughter really enjoyed every bit of from the colouring in, colouring a tree decoration, making reindeer dust & building a bear which states every...where that its optional to buy & was never felt pressured to make or buy one. Santa himself was lovely took time with the children for photos & the gift that my daughter recived was lovely & she was over the moon with it See More

Paid a visit to Arcadia today for the Santa experience, which was awesome and the most authentic Santa ever but was even more blown away by the beautiful owls! Got to hold 2 owls one being the biggest... eagle owl I've ever seen. A truly great experience and the owls owners were absolutely fab! The experience made my day! And all they asked for was a small contribution of change for birds of prey! Pretty awesome! See More

Absolute pony. Gotten too big and the mighty dollar has crushed the experience. First year we went this was superb...... magical little treasure. Then last year the cattle market started and this year... even worse.
.
Couldnt be arsed elves, pound shop gifts and to top it off a power cut which wasn't reacted too. Abysmal.

I came here today with my children to see Father Christmas. I thought the grotto was gorgeous but felt the visit was a bit impersonal given it was such a large group of children. The staff were helpfu...l and the waiting time was great - the schedule ran on time which is important when you have small children. My main gripe is that I found it very expensive for £11 per child. The toy they got would have probably been around £2 so I'm not sure how the cost is justified. I think £5-8 would be more appropriate. See More

After visiting for the last 3 years to see santa and the wonderful experience it was ,totally disappointed today as it is now a commercial money making scheme ,the build a bear is a total con as every... child will want to do this putting alot of financial pressure on parents .Also to have 2 father xmas there takes the magic away for the children .
This has always been our best xmas experience ,but one now we will not be repeating

Been to have breakfast with Santa this morning my little boy loved it! He really enjoyed building the bear in which the elves where great in helping him! It does state you don’t have to buy it but we ...did as it’s only Christmas once a year! The santa was lovely and friendly to the kids! And my little boy also enjoyed seeing the owls that are at the centre! Will definitely be back next year! See More
