The Arkansas Department of Human Services recently held an event to celebrate inclusivity and support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in honor of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (DDAM). Clients from across the state who benefit from our programs and services under the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDS) gathered with their families, representatives from the Governor’s Council on Developmental Disabilities Arkansas, and other supporters to witness Secretary Putnam read the Governor’s Proclamation declaring March as DDAM. We will continue to champion acceptance and empowerment for all, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to make choices and thrive.
