This is how I'm thinking about my work as an artist:
Studying the classic foundations of form, studying the post-modernist/futurist creations, seeing Nature in all [human] design, and then, synthesizing, personalizing, to make art that is uniquely mine.
I'm bringing my story of love, loss and solitude in the digital age back to The Heights. This is a first in a series of intimate performances, hosted by friends (LA CASA!), bringing theater to the local community.
This event is FREE. They'll be wine and water. Just bring your open mind and heart.
Love in the hypertext age...
Think you know what it's like to put your heart out there? To feel like it might just work? And then, it doesn't?
Well, good. You should keep reading....
I'm looking for hosts to open up their living rooms for a performance of my one-man play LUVR. You invite a small group of friends, they BYOB, and I'll bring the story.
If you're interested, send me a private message.
This is LUVR: living room sessions.

This is to honour the First Peoples of the Americas, The Ones who were here LONG BEFORE Columbus...This is their day, not his.
Happy Indigenous Peoples Day. I wrote this piece about 8 years ago in response to someone asking me why don't I celebrate Columbus Day. I think this is also tim...ely given the struggles that our fellow AMERICANOS are living with on the island of Puerto Rico. I honor them as brothers and sisters, and honor the ancestors of the Americas who were here existing as intelligent conscious beings long before Columbus, Magellan, or Vespucci were even zygotes in their mother's wombs. Pa'lante Siempre a Mi Gente Latino.
**P.S.- If you have not yet contributed to relief efforts for Puerto Rico, purchase one if my t-shirts (I'm wearing in the video) and I will donate a portion of every sale towards needed goods for the people. Send me a DM if interested.
Paz y Amor,
I am honoured to be a featured artist at my dear friend and fellow wordsmith Poet Gold's POELEDIES, a monthly event where she features performing artists. I will be sharing a sneak peek of my new solo play LUVR, and also some other works in progress. If you're looking to take an adventure out of the city, this is the place! The Falcon is an amazinf music venue with great food, rock memoriabilia and a breath-taking waterfall on the premises. The event is FREE TO THE PUBLIC, with a HIGHLY encouraged donation. Look forward to seeing some of my Uptown community in the crowd.
Today I was reminded of how privileged I am to be able to play with kids and families as a form of employment. The money is good and helpful, but the truth is: I receive the priceless gift of laughter, imagination, infinite play and love from these little humans. And every once and a while, they gift me with "tangible" goods that I can show off. These are two master works from amazing human beings, Madeline and Daria. After an experimental story hour in which I introduced a w...ordless character aptly named "The Pastafarian" (loosely inspired by The Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Look it up.lol) and who went about making up stories with the children, these young artists decided to draw their version of Mr. Mando (my museum nomenclature) and present it to me with big hugs. I was speechless. I still am. And rocking a cheesy grin from ear to ear.
P.S.- I want to extend my gratitude to their parents Sandra (Madeline's mom) and Doug (Daria's dad) for being conscious adults that support the magical artistic/creative growth of these Better Versions of Humanity. Bravo.
Had the privilege of experiencing these amazing young artists at Gold's Poellidies gathering every 3rd wednesday. Each artist shared themselves: their vulnerability, personal trials and passions, and mission to use their creative gifts for bringing love their community.
FYI: I'll be a featured artist for September's gathering. Look out for more info!

Lets help remind each other that there is only one family under the stars...
This reading is for a new solo play I am developing. It is about the emotional journey to arrive at the house of solitude within each of us, based on my personal experiences with love—the joys and the pains.
I have the honor and privilege to work with an amazing creative human, Nadia Bourne. She will be providing LIVE acoustic vibes and vocals. The reading is FREE! I will offer homemade sangria (by Yours Lovingly) for a small donation. Please, bring your open hearts and minds!
FYI: There is ADULT CONTENT within the play. It is not suitable for minors. 21+
