I had to get my wife to the doctor, I was pulled over for going 36 in a 35. I was given a ticket for not having my drivers license on my person because I was in a rush and forgot my wallet at home. N...ow I have to pay 157$ for that. I hope it happens to officer Steve curiell and he has to pay 10 times that amount. And sitting in someone’s front yard shooting a radar is pretty chickenshit if you ask me.Your department makes me sick. See More

Thank you to Officer Seth Boudreaux for stopping to help my daughter and I this evening. He made my daughter feel safe as well as communicated with me effectively and kindly. Even small incidents cr...eate a large burden on individuals emotionally in the moment and when you have a person that is encouraging and cares....it makes all the difference! Thank you to all Ascension Sheriffs for all you do big and small everyday. See More

Me along with three kids ran into some car trouble while heading to Gonzales LA. After sitting in the car on side of the road for about 30 minutes, we were approached by a police car. The officer got ...out, asked if we were ok, with sweat dripping I said not really. He asked for my ID and proceeded to ask what was wrong. I told him I was having car trouble, he called around and was able to get someone to come and tow my car to a nearby shop. I let him know of the hotel we were staying at, so he packed all of our belongings and gave us a lift to the hotel. I know there's a lot going on in the world today. Although some may feel as if there's no hope for change; my experience today lets me know that not only is there hope ❤️ but there are still some genuine people with sincere desires in their hearts ready to protect and serve. Me and my family are forever grateful for Sheriff Watson. May God continue to bless you and keep you safe. See More

A few nights ago, I was traveling and ran out of gas as it was getting dark. I called a local wrecker service who was unable to help, but who suggested I call the Sheriff's office. I was grateful th...at Deputy Austin Gautreau came to the rescue, driving me to a gas station where I was able to get a gas can and enough gas to help me get back on the road. He even helped me with getting the gas into the vehicle, and was sure to pull out onto the highway with his lights on first, so I would be safe entering the highway once my vehicle had gas. Ascension Parish: you should be proud of your Sheriff's office. This stranded motorist could not have been assisted with more kindness and consideration! See More

As sherriff, the highest law authority in the parish, and his deputies shouldnt be enforcing unjust laws and arresting people for victimless crimes. The jails are over populated and the prison system ...in louisiana is a real sad case. Id like to see the sherriff lead the charge in reforming the louisiana justice system to one of true justice, clean up corruption where we can and end the drug war at least in our neck of louisiana. We dont see many, if any cases of cops shooting people or their dogs so thats a plus. See More

Sheriff Wiley, with all of the support coming in daily you must be as proud of our parish as much as we are. You have a great team of Deputies working for you and our families. But I see a huge proble...m with all of this food, cakes, candies and drinks. I think you will be having to put off any training Sopat among any other trading coming up. Just and old friendly reminder. Just remember that the parish and the city the citizens of this wonderful parish has everyone's 6. God Bless you and Chief Sherman Jackson for all you both do for the city and the parish. See More

We were talking to our girls about everything happening right now with police officers bc Our youngest starting asking about why police officers were getting killed and it is amazing to hear her analo...gy of how she sees it. She said "Police officers are like Pacman and the bad guys are the ghosts. Pacman (police officers) tries to get the ghosts (bad guys) and the ghosts (bad guys) are trying to get Pacman (police officers)." It is just amazing that kids can relate things like that. Thank you officers for being the "Pacman" in our lives and protecting all of us from the "ghosts" See More

Time and again these men and women of Ascension Parish reinforce our belief in them. We are so proud to be a part of this community and under their protection. Ditto for their colleagues on the Gonzal...es force and LSP. The assailants chased this morning ran into woods in my neighborhood- but with our people on the case, not for long. #ascensionstrong See More

So after getting ticketed at a speed trap, I go on my way and drop off my daughter at day care. When returning through the same intersection I noticed one of the officers calmly get on his bike and le...ave (with no lights on) and proceed to roll through 2 stop signs and then speed off down the highway.
Way to keep us all safe APSO!

We demand the resignation of Jeff as well as a public apology from this agency. The sheriff is unethical and should've posted his personal rant on his personal page instead of using his platform to pr...omote bigotry and division. I am deeply concerned about the integrity of this department. See More

I am a nurse with Urgent Care and Site Manager for a couple of our locations. Several times leaving at night one of your deputies is in our parking lot in St. Amant as we leave. I like seeing this. An...d the last time one was there he spoke on his speaker saying "have a good night ladies". This made me feel very safe because I knew he was really watching out for us and not just parked there. Thank you! See More

I announce with great sadness of the high school campus shooting that occurred today in South Florida. News reports tell us that a former student came on campus armed and while there shot several students and apparently several were fatalities.

The Parkland community, the school, and the parents that are dealing with this tragedy, has our deepest prayers and sympathy.

Further, the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office sends prayers to the wounded, some of whom are fighting for t...heir lives.

To the Ascension community, especially, our school staff, parents, and students, we will be elevating our level of presence and our response plan for the next several days out of an abundance of precaution.

There are no indications whatsoever of anything expected but we want to reassure our citizens that we are there for them and that we will be there for them.

Sheriff Jeff Wiley
