I recently did my DNA test and was surprised to find I am part Southeast Asian. I came to celebrate Chinese New Year on Saturday and brought an international student from China to go to the activities... and the ballet. Everything was amazing. I loved all of the activities and the ballet was awesome. The Tibetan dance brought tears to my eyes. See More

The Asia Society has become part of my weekly Tuesday morning routine thanks to the free yoga class led by Roshmi Dalal at 9am. It has become THE temple of choice. A sense of calm floods me as soon... as I approach the building with its minimalist somewhat stark architectural style. I allow the lines to lead me to my zen, just past the water garden terrace. Roshmi's class is the ultimate practice in relaxation which can be hard to come by in the fast paced world we live in today. Stop chasing the unattainable and iiiiiiinnnhaaaaaale....exxxxxhaaaaale.... you'll thank yourself. See More

Architecturally pleasing with a Zen like atmosphere. The infinity pool on the second floor gives such a cool ambiance. The architecture represents the philosophy of Asia Society. Would have wished was one big ballroom for events. We are always split up and divided...The point of going to an event is to see and be seen by everyone not hidden. A pity. And o so many restrictions... See More

The exhibit on Modern Bamboo "baskets" was excellent. This is a must see. Some of these take as long as a year to make. Only about 35 pieces, but well worth the time.
