What beats a hot cup of tea and a good book? (Okay, you can drink coffee ...) but come to next Tuesday's Spring Fling author tea party where you'll meet nine authors of women's fiction and sweet romance. You'll also have a chance to visit and win a free book. There'll even be a grand prize. My 15 minutes of fame will be from 4:15-4:30 Mountain Time. Hope to see you March 20! https://www.facebook.com/events/179919269442694/
Congratulations to Becca Whitham and Gina Welborn for winning the Spur award for Western Romance! http://westernwriters.org/winners/
Well - it's International Women's Day. Wouldn't it be fun to be someplace International right now? I'd love to be in Scotland or Ireland or Israel or Vermont. But, in lieu of traveling, I'm a guest on Jo Huddleston's great blog today, giving away a copy of An Improper Proposal. Stop by and enter for a chance to win! http://www.johuddleston.com/…/davalynn-spencer-western-roma…
I'm interviewed today on The Romantic Side of Suspense. Stop by! http://sarahhamakerfiction.com/…/a-conversation-with-daval…/
One of THE best films I've seen. And absolutely the best 40 minutes you'll spend if you watch it.
Today I'm interviewing inspirational author Twila Belk about her latest book, The Power to Be. Stop by the Christian Author's Network for more! http://christianauthorsnetwork.com/chat-with-twila-belk/
I attended a cowboy's funeral last summer, Preacher Paul Scholtz. His casket was made of pine and burned with his brand. A cowboy cousin in California, Steven Fitton, also had a simple pine casket. Both were beautiful endorsements of the men and the lives they lived. Seeing this similar endorsement of Dr. Billy Graham is encouraging and inspiring. Yet the source of Dr. Graham's casket also speaks to the redemptive power of God's love, of which the evangelist preached untiringly.
This man had a huge impact on my life. Thank God, I listened.
My next house. Just sayin'.
