A HUGE thank you to Epic Church Athens for pouring into the lives of our Athens club members!! We appreciate you!!
This past November, Epic Church Athens hosted their first Annual ‘Christmas Market’ to raise funds to help provide Christmas for the amazing children of the Ath...ens Boys & Girls Club. Upon collecting letters to Santa, on December 19, Epic Church Athens gathered together with the faithful volunteers and 73 kids from the Boys & Girls Club to give them an extravagant Christmas party. To say that it was one of the most heartwarming outreaches we have done to date is an understatement! Because of the community’s generous response to the Christmas Market, today Epic Church Athens was honored by the Boys & Girls Club as the "Participant of the Year". We wanted to give you the opportunity to see some incredible highlights from their Christmas Party. This is a reminder to all of us that it just takes a little effort to help make someone’s day brighter!
A HUGE congratulations to our 2018 Youth of the Year, Levon Fletcher!
"I attribute much of my success to the boys and girls club. With my mom, the club gave me a foundation that my life is built on. I have stayed focused on school and on the football field, allowing me to be accepted to numerous colleges, being an All-State athlete, and maintaining a 3.5 GPA. I want to let the youth know their circumstances don’t control their destination."

Thank you to everyone who attended our 2018 Youth of the Year Luncheon! Selected among 5 outstanding youth, Levon Fletcher from James A. Lane Club has been named Youth of the Year for BGCNAL! The Youth of the Year title is a prestigious honor bestowed upon an exemplary young person in recognition of leadership, service, academic excellence and dedication to live a healthy lifestyle. Levon hopes to "teach those that come from the same place as me to chase their dreams. The world is waiting for them to make a positive impact and they do not have to be a product of their environment."
A special thank you to our judges:
Mrs. Julie Broadway, Dr. Dorothy Davidson, Mr. Bill Johnston and Mr. Delvin Sullivan.

A great article was written about our Athens Club!
In honor of National Mentoring Month, we are honoring one of our great mentors, Charles! Charles has been mentoring at our Seminole Club for almost five years.
As club members stood in line waiting to get a hug from Charles during our interview, he said, "This is the best part. When you give love, you get love." Charles said his favorite thing about being a mentor is how rewarding it is to give back and form long-lasting relationships with these kids.
If you are interested in being a mentor, contact us today!
YOU make it possible for us to reach kids who have nowhere safe to go after school – and to offer them programs that profoundly change their lives for the better.
Your tax-deductible gift is incredibly important right now to help us continue supporting children in 2018. Please help us save the next child with your gift by December 31!!
THANK YOU for caring about kids in your community.
We are so very grateful for volunteers like Freda Anderson who give our youth hope and opportunity...and so thankful for the Allstate Foundation for their support!
