I have taken 2 or 3 classes at BMAG. The PMC class I took was great. The teacher was very knowledgeable and shared alot of information. I left with a great pair of earrings that I am very proud of. I ...then took an etching class, which was terrible. I left with nothing to show for the money and time that I spent. The teacher showed me a technique that we tried several times and it just didn't work. It was a total waste of my time. I would never take another class from that teacher. I will not name names. I have worked some in metal before, but I learned so much more in just one class. The instructor was great, and I have met so many interesting folks through it and being a Member of BMAG.

Reticulation is a process of heating and cooling a special 80/20 alloy of Silver and copper sheet until it forms a specific texture. The results are stunning.

In this 2 day class students will each use a 2” x 2” piece of 80/20 silver provided in your kit, ready for reticulation. Typically, one starts with a larger sheet and chooses the best area/s of it for use in a jewelry piece. Some holes may form that can be to your advantage for your design. Best to decide what to ma...ke after your sheet is done to your satisfaction. A pendant? A pair of earrings? Both? It will be up to your imagination.

Guys, you want to really impress that special lady in your life? Nothing compares to giving a piece of jewelry you have made yourself on this special day.

In this 2 day workshop, you will have access to the special tools used by jewelers and guidance in making your own personally designed creation. You will be given some suggestions so that you can make a piece that you will be able to complete within the allotted 9 hours or less considering your individual skill level and ex...perience.

You have skills you may not even know will transfer over to jewelry metalsmithing. Used pliers, hammers or maybe you have even used a torch for soldering pipes or welding? All those skills will transfer over. Potential pieces you might choose to make will include a pendant (with our without mounted stones), bracelets, or earrings.
