I recently participated in my 3rd mission experience with this organization this past January 2018. This trip lived up to my expectations and more. The staff really took the time to share their gifts ...and knowledge and support the team and myself in our efforts to try new things and use new tools. I am happy to report I can now use Router. I also appreciated the cultural experience that they provided me and my team by giving us the opportunity to attend the Junkanoo Festival. Beyond just this experience, one of the things that draws me to this organization and keeps me coming back year after year is their commitment and heart for the community and they people they are in ministry with. Thank you BMH for all you do both in word and in action. See More

I've been to BMH 3 times and it's always a joy. It's a beautiful location and the staff are so helpful and friendly. I really enjoy working on construction projects alongside the staff; getting to k...now them and gain a better understanding of the Bahamian culture. They always make sure we are well fed and offer plenty of opportunities for fun in the sun. If you have a group looking for a mission trip opportunity this is a great spot! See More

What an amazing experience! I've taken 4 trips and they have all been good and unique! What an impact on the community! The new director, Rev. Stephanie, is amazing and has a heart for the Bahamas and... the people. I plan on going again and again, and supporting BMH and the ministry for years to come! I hope you all have a chance to experience this place for yourself! Prayers always See More

Donors and Supporters need to be asking LOTS of questions. Alicia Sands is a person of the highest integrity, with an impeccable professional background and a deep humanitarian commitment. She was p...ersuaded to take the executive director role at Bahamas Methodist Habitat (BHM) after some period of time, despite the requirement of relocation. As a former supporter, I am deeply saddened and disturbed to learn about her recent departure. In Alicia’s few months with BHM, she worked to establish accountability systems and procedures to professionalize the organization and intensify the focus on the mission. Why was greater transparency and accountability a problem for some within Bahamas Methodist Habitat? Why was a more intensive focus on results a problem? See More

I had a lot of confidence in new Executive Director Alicia Sands. With her departure my confidence in the organization is shaken.

Congratulations to former Director Abraham McIntyre and Leigh on the birth of their first son, Cole James McIntyre!

Abraham McIntyre is with Leigh Johnson McIntyre.

Welcome to the world Cole James McIntyre!
He’s 8 lbs and 3 ozs of pure chunky perfection ... and has the fat rolls to prove it!

Named in memory of Rosa Coleman,... maternal great grandmother, and Robert James Johnson, maternal grandfather.
This dude was built on an amazing foundation!

We are thankful for the village who has already surrounded this kid, and we pray he follows in the footsteps of his namesakes (including the McIntyre clan!) and spends his life making this world a better place.
