Imagine you found a cure for something so widely understood like the common cold. Everyone knows what a cold is, and it’s safe to say that most have suffered from one. But what if you found a cure – then you were told to keep your mouth shut.

The point of getting vaccinated isn't to keep you from getting the flu (or measles, mumps or whooping cough). It's to keep you from spreading all those diseases.

The Three Stooges

January is #NationalSoupMonth! What better way to celebrate than with Curly and a bowl of soup. But in this case, from Dutiful but Dumb, he had to fight a feist...y clam to keep his crackers! This short showcases Curly's genius at interacting with inanimate or nonhuman objects and to make the object an anthropomorphized part of the dialogue and humor. Yes, we do know big words. Nyuk! Nyuk! Nyuk!

Grammar Slammer. Exemplary, my liege! Your mastery of American English is unparalleled (not unparalelled as so many would believe) and your abundant knowledge is greatly appreciated (what, with there being a societal deprivation of such). Your innate intelligence is applied dutifully and naturally to such concepts as predicates, complements, objects, nouns, verbs, adjectives, and -GASP- spelling words correctly and/or using them in proper context! We bow to you, Grammar Master! Carry thy banner high and mighty!

Do you have what it takes to be a champion of the English language? You won't find out 'til the end of this quiz!

Thanks Eddie Deezen for today's Stooges knowledge. CURLY HOWARD'S LAST OFFICIAL THREE STOOGES SHORT.......................
"HALF-WITS HOLIDAY", CURLY'S LAST OFFICIAL THREE STOOGES SHORT, WAS RELEASED ON THIS DAY- JANUARY 9, 1947.
CURLY HOWARD HAD SUFFERED SEVERAL STROKES DURING THE MID-1940'S, BUT HAD CONTINUED TO CHURN OUT SEVERAL THREE STOOGES SHORTS EVERY YEAR FOR COLUMBIA.
ON THE SET OF HIS 97TH STOOGE SHORT "HALF-WIT'S HOLIDAY", THE BIG PIE FIGHT WAS SCHEDULED TO BE FILM...ED. MOE WENT OVER TO GET HIM. "LET'S GO, BABE", MOE SAID AS HE WENT OVER TO GET HIS KID BROTHER ("BABE" WAS CURLY'S NICKNAME).
MOE FOUND POOR CURLY SLUMPED OVER IN HIS CHAIR. TEARS WERE STREAMING DOWN HIS FACE. CURLY HAD SUFFERED A STROKE. HE WAS UNABLE TO COMPLETE FILMING ON "HALF-WIT'S HOLIDAY AND WAS RUSHED TO THE HOSPITAL. CURLY WOULD NEVER RETURN AS A MEMBER OF THE THREE STOOGES.
THE SHORT WENT ON WITHOUT HIM AND CURLY IS STRANGELY MISSING FROM THE CLIMACTIC PIE FIGHT. THE REST OF THE CAST WAS NEVER INFORMED WHAT HAPPENED. THEY JUST ALL NOTICED CURLY WAS MISSING.
CURLY'S OLDER BROTHER, SHEMP, CAME IN TO REPLACE HIM. MOE AND SHEMP DONATED A PORTION OF THEIR SALARY TO CURLY'S UPKEEP. WHEN LARRY HEARD ABOUT THIS, HE INSISTED A PORTION OF HIS PAY GO TO HELPING SUPPORT CURLY TOO.
