Hi, our Community Garden is looking for donations of seed germination mats to encourage plant starts that will be used for our annual plant sale. The plant sale is a fundraiser that we use to help support our group. Please contact us if you have any that you would like to donate. Thank you so much for your support.
Hi, I am providing a photo of the application for you to acquire the information on it. There are a few plots left so if you are interested in joining us, please submit your application soon. Just click on the photo to enlarge it.
I republished the calendar of the gardening classes to try to show the bottom. You must click on the photo for it to enlarge to see the entire calendar.
A paper copy of this can be acquired at ACE hardware, Bandon City Hall, Bandon Library and Plants 101. These locations are also where you can find applications for a garden plot.
As we prepare for the education series to begin for the Good Earth Community Garden, I would like to inform you where you can pick up a schedule for them. You will find them at the same places as you will find the applications for a plot. They are at ACE hardware, the Bandon Library, Bandon City Hall and Plants 101. We still have a few plots left so if you are interested, you should act quickly.
Our first class of our 2018 Garden Series will be held on April 7th . It will be about Rain Gardens and taught by Darcy Grahek. The location is the garden, 780 8th Court SW in Bandon. Class begins at 10 a.m. Click on the poster to read the entire calendar.
Our first orientation for the garden went well despite the rain pattering on the greenhouse ! Our second, and final, orientation will be held on April 8th at 2 p.m. at the garden. It will be combined with a social event. Please pick up your applications for membership at ACE, Bandon City Hall, the Bandon Library or Plants 101. We still have a plot for you!
This beautiful, rich compost has been spread in our community garden plots with the help of members, and some volunteer help from some Bandon High School students. The quality of our soil has been a focus of our group.
The compost was purchased from Seacoast Land and Home Services. Their phone number is 541-888-6757.
The applications for membership, and a plot for the Bandon Good Earth Community Garden, will be available starting today. The locations that you can pick up an application are Ace; the Bandon Library; the Bandon City Hall; or Plants 101. They can also be accessed on our Bandon Good Earth Community Garden website, and the SCCGA website. The plots are available on a first come basis so pick up your application soon. We are looking forward to a fantastic garden season and the fellowship that a community garden provides. Come join us!
The garden really scored with this potting table. The generous member would like to stay anonymous. Thank you from all those who work at the garden especially for the plant sale. It will save a few backs I am sure. THANKS !
A big shout out to Glen and Wendy, Lehne Farms, shown here at the Bandon Farmers Market, who generously provided our E.A.T. program and Senior Meals with over 500 lbs of fresh produce a few weeks ago. We have lost count on the total volume so far. Thanks!
