First of all, thank you for the effective traffic management during the white topping work which was/is happening in the outer ring road from tin factory flyover to kammanhalli. After all the efforts,... finally the outer ring road was open to traffic after the work is done, possibiliy thinking of avoiding potholes and increase durability.

But today morning, we saw some speed breakers applied between Horamavu bridge and Ramurthy nagar Bridge on outer ring road which is badly affecting traffic of the fellow passengers. We understand that is because of the turn in that area which led you to think about the safety of passengers. But three big speed breakers led to traffic starting from the speed breakers till hormavu under pass.

This is highly unacceptable as you are laying better roads for the fast movement of traffic but some actions which you took are leading to the traffic jam in the roads which you do not expect.

Our suggestion is to, remove the speed breakers as people will eventually go slow during the turn. But if you still need them, go for a single one with less height and width, which will eventually slow down the traffic, which is our ultimate outcome See More

BTP, last Wednesday i was waiting at kathriguppe signal from bhuwaneshwari nagara.
Traffic lights turned green and few two wheelers rushed ahead within 2 seconds signal turned red.
People were left ...stranded in the middle facing the possibility of being run over by others big vehicles.
Time was between 11:15 AM to 11:20AM

If some one had lost his/her life,who would been responsible?

Also few other things like why a circle like Ramakrishna Ashrama needs a signal lights?
There was no traffic jams earlier now it is a frequent occurrence.

Not sure who does the planning your end.

Traffic light at gubbi thontadappa road is almost hidden at one end of the road in a blind spot.
For one coming from Goodshed road taking turn towards GT road or railway station road needs look at the merging traffic at the junction on right side and BTP has placed the traffic light at the extreme left.
To use this road one has to keep praying to god that no accidents happens when you look for signal and have look right for merging traffic.

How hard it is to plaxe the traffic signal at a place visible to people commuting in this road?

I want bengaluru city police to respond.

I feel bad to hear cops behave bad to people with no fault after the test give zero alchocol. Hope they will know how to treat people....

30 minutes of harrasment and blaming. No idea what someone waiting at home must think when police harras like this to citizen working late. Throwing bags on ground and misbehaving.

Are they just concerned to fine someone or rip someone money just because of late working hours and harras people by saying they book in drink and drive case even when not drunk. How can human walk or ride two wheeler freely even after independence with police behaving badly to indian citizens.

How safe is bengaluru when police behave like monsters. See More

Yesterday (31.1.18) aroudf 11 am. At start of the flyover moving from Central silk board. Think itis HSR layout flyover. To begin with there is no sign which says that moving on the service road besid...e the flyover, you will be able to just go back to Koramangala since the road is blocked to move on further below flyover towards Sarjapur. The whole flyover was jammed with traffic. When I moved on the service road beside I was surprised to find the road blocked. A traffic police encountered and allowed a garbage truck to move on without interrupting. Another car also was allowed without interrupting. He started to obstruct mine and two other cars taking photos.In a huge traffic mess create further obstruction citing rules when you yourself have not followed rules by fixing a simple sign board? What is BTP doing. You dont know about maximise utilisation of a scarce resource. A traffic junction (island) is a very valuable resource. And a road is a resource. To improve traffic condition utilisation is the only solution. Instead you block traffic and make them wait for hours together and expect to dish out solutions on traffic management, You dont understand about Queing theory. You dont want to be problem solvers. Always obstructors of traffic. Wherever there is excess vehicle movement you post a traffic signal or put dividers or worse still post a policemen who continuously obstruct at will. And take photos and post fines. Gentlemen/ Ladies, this is not traffic management. Your perrformance is to be judged by how less fines you collect. Not how high fines you collect. higher fines symbolises failure. Just wish to recall the ISI approved helmet announcement recently and how you went back citing a silly reason. All know that in an election time you were not supposed to have come up with such things. Honestly thought with the induction of Madam D Roopa into traffic control department, lot of things will change. But disappointed. Please change for the better of our City. Hardwork is no more a rewarding criteria. Smart work is. If a police man controls traffic one will almost always see traffic in waiting. There is difference between the stimulus and response of the body and mind which is much faster than the response level of human interactions. It is for that reason anything unpredictable (as human controller traffic) is unreliable and most inefficient. It is better in an automated traffic light condition as one understands when to move an when to stop. The traffic Management department have to apply more thoughts than spadework. See More

Wanted to give a feedback regarding the chain of speed breakers setup on the newly laid white topping road from Manyata to KR Puram .

The speed breakers are slowing down the traffic and causing almos...t a 1 km of jam on ORR. It is good to have a speeD breaker but a chain of 3 is forcing people to almost come to a stop.

To be Specific .. today i am at the ASR function hall for like 15-20 min due to the slowness of the vehicles at the breakers.

Would be of a great help if the chain of three breakers is reduced to one. See More

Unfortunately meet this " Chandrappa", a double star traffic inspector. He daily collects 20 rs from veggie and flower vender of footpath near Anaporneshwari Nagar. Today intentionally this irresponsi...ble and greedy cop bought a car with wheel lock from an other place and parked exactly infront of this poor hardworking venders cart.

As I asked him to not do such cheap thing to those venders, the "chandrappa" started to talk so low as he din even respect his uniform and ladies and childern around him. He said me to not try to become a hero infront of crowd. He started to record me over his little phone to shu me off but i had a better phone ���. At the end he went leaving that car der. I couldn't see those innocent and helpless faces, not even one person talked for them and just kept staring at mine n "chandrappa" conversation. But started scolding and cursing that cop after he left the place.

He said, he is a cop from kamashipalya station and he was daring me to challenge him going to his station saying in kannada - " baro station ge bandu mathado, naanu nodthini yavan karkobarthyo. Ministrune karkond ba, avanu nan kodo kaasindhane oota madodhu and ministragirodu ".

I'm sad and sure that cop will mess with those venders later. They are working honestly and hard every day. They are so helpful for daily needs.

Respected traffic department,
This isn't the standard of our police department and it wasn't necessary for the cop "Chandrappa" to do it. This is a residential area and no traffic problem here. There isn't even a sign board here but from this kinda cheap individual. The bad name comes to the whole department. Please do not let this go so low and let MR. CHANDRAPPA avange them again.

Dear all today i came on footpath for just a 3m as the traffic was huge on road... But bangalore police took 400 instead of 100 rs fine...i was too slow and casious while riding.
Also they implemented... this same 400 rs fine to all who crossed the way with me. Bangalore police is so rude they demanded for original DL which we cannot carry all the time..so we have photo copies with us to produce. To be frankly speaking Bangalore police are so rude to public. They suck the blood from public.
Please take the to what deviations we have done. Dont put unnecessary fine without reasons.

I called the Kormangala Police Station @ +91 8022942570 today to inform them regarding my damaged car which was parked outside my rented house from past two weeks while i was out of town. I asked them... to take a complaint for the same as my car was hit from the front and was badly damaged. The person denied to take any complaint and said that whom will i catch for that, how will i know who damaged your car and asked me to claim the insurance for the damaged car. I informed him that there is one camera installed outside the house and i am expecting that this incident would have been captured in the CCTV footage. He further said if you have the footage, then go to the traffic police station with the footage. i am really disappointed that, the police didn't turned up to the spot also did not take any complaint. Never expected this from the dynamic city police. I have informed my insurance company about the incident and have also taken multiple photos of the vehicle and the area it was parked before dropping the vehicle to the nearest service station. Sir when are you going to clip the wings of Auto walas in Bangalore. They loot people so much why is there no control on them? I had to pay 100Rs (reduced from initial demand of 120) for a distance of... 2 Kms from Carmelaram station. This is a ridiculous amount with any logic, but I had to take it because I had to bring my parents home and with the traffic there at peak getting a cab was impossible. This kind of organized loot should stop. See More

Hello sir, there are many spead breaker being put on new white topped road on outer ring near banaswadi. These speed breaker seems to be very bad because of which it makes vehicle to completely stop ...for few seconds. Because of this I see lot of traffic getting piled up.
I am not right person to judge if all speed breaker required but so much jam because of that does not seems to be good.
I didn't know where to put this so I am writing here...please forward this concern to respective authority. See More

"Acting tough on drivers speaking on cell phones while at the wheel, Kolkata Police has ...prosecuted 296 people over the past two days. While one person has been arrested, 56 have had their licences suspended. The remaining have had to cough up spot fines"

Badly planned Speed Breakers on ORR

The speed breakers placed on the newly finished white topped roads on the Banaswadi to RamamurthyNagar stretch cause traffic jams upto 2-3 kms. There are 2 such spots of speed breakers on either side of the outer ring road. Ring roads were made for smooth n seamless commute purpose, but these speed breakers totally defeat the purpose. The pics below were taken near RamamurthyNagar opposite the Royal Oak showroom. Request you to take it up with the appropriate authorities to get this stretch rectified. See More

The traffic on my way to office is always a chaos and Neeladri Nagar area is a total mes...s. Why would you install three big speed breakers on the outer ring road between horamavu and ramamurthy nagar!!!?? Why?? It's leading to heavy traffic jams daily!! Please think and plan properly before ...doing anything!! You could have installed small breakers if you wanted safety of pedestrians. Vehicles are literally stopping to cross these breakers and resulting into frustrating traffic jams. First everyone suffered due to white topping and now this!! The Worst traffic police in whole country. Their only motive is to trouble the genuine people and leave the people who are actually violating rules. Not capable of understanding a genuine explanation.... Partial towards outsiders. Only interested in forcing the person to pay fine or money even if the person has no fault. They don't understand what actually "no parking" means. It won't be a surprise if they place a no parking sign on Mars, you park your vehicle in some jungle of other state and these people will come and tow the vehicle claiming that parking is not allowed in jungle because the no parking sign is there on Mars. They can even tow your vehicle while you are standing there only to confirm if the spot is no parking or not. As per them if you park your vehicle under a tree then it might obstruct the traffic which is trying to hit that tree. Completely non sense logics they can give in order to force the fine.
And what have you guys posted? Go-play by rules? Refree should have an average logical ability before trying to understand the rules and before applying fine. Traffic police should go and get some common sense and atleast 10th class level logical thinking ability. Becuase you are applying fine on people who play by rule more than you.
They don't even believe in responding to public's meassges on fb. As if it is not their duty to respond to problems someone faces because of them only. See More

Dear BTP,
I would like bring to your attention a few points. The roads in Whitefield area is in very bad shape due to metro work going on. We have got no street/very few steet lights. Due to road exte...nsion to sides, manholes have come on the road which makes its very difficult to drive/ride.
Roads are now even more dusty and bumpy.
Autorickshaw, buses, cabs and TT drivers stop at place on moving road and cause huge traffic jams.
No one follow the lane rule.
TT and autorickshaw driver drive very rash on busy roads.
People start honking even before the signal turns green. Over honking make cause an accident as someone could be a new driver/rider and could get nervous which may result in bad driving/riding causing accident.
Over taking is as well a major cause of huge traffic jams everyday.
These are the few points I would like you to take action on as soon as possible as good and strict traffic management woud result in peaceful days for public as well as traffic police.

Corruption and misuse of power this is all you get to see on road.

i was recently travelling to kormanagla i had one beer and i knew it was within limits even after that i was stopped and meter showe...d off limits, i said i had only 1 beer but they didn't listen and gave me chalan and to my shock they had put "drink and drive and reckless/dangerous driving"
i went and asked about it,i was told go talk to advocate you are riding with alcohol means you are reckless riding.
i even took video of it for proof but no-one is ready to listen anywhere.
can you guys explain me meaning of reckless driving/riding ?in simple english it means driving fast or in a way that is harming people.
i was in my full senses i was riding with just a beer how can i be fined for drink and ride as well as reckless riding.
in this country common man has to just bend and accept whatever powerful people say .

Traffic police at madiwala junction have 0% clue on how to handle the signal at such an important junction. A 30 min rain caused a jam of upto 2 km yesterday and the cop was simply not interested and ...was using his mobile phone and watching something on it. Took 25 mins to go for forum main gate to St John's Road. Most pathetic experience of waiting at a traffic light. Ban police from manually operating signals and use timers to control traffic effectively! See More
