This is a jar of Kvass (fermented beetroots) I made with the harvest from Buna Reserve Community where Yukima Cameron is doing fantastic job managing plots, v...olunteers...

I just wanted to tell everyone now the weather is getting warm, you need to keep an eye on your fermented food. I just skimmed mould on the top and putting the jar in the fridge. (Mikoto)

I love the Community Centre. It is the place I got involved in my Community Volunteering work. I also use the various services e.g. Dental, Physio. Every time I... vist the centre I am greeted by friendly, happy helpful staff. I have forged lifetime friendships not only with other consumers of the centre but staff as well. See More

You’re not the only one! Here’s what the research says about the role you should play and the huge difference it can make in your child’s language learning.

If you are a parent of a young child receiving Early Intervention services, most likely you've wondered exactly what your role is. You’re not the only one! Here’s what the research says about the role you should play and the huge difference it can make in your child’s language learning.

R U OK?

Got a niggling feeling that someone you know or care about it isn’t behaving as they normally would? Perhaps they seem out of sorts? More agitated or withdrawn? Or they’re just not themselves. Trust that gut instinct and act on it.

By starting a conversation and commenting on the changes you’ve noticed, you could help that family member, friend or workmate open up. If they say they are not ok, you can follow our conversation steps to show them they’re supported and he...lp them find strategies to better manage the load. If they are ok, that person will know you’re someone who cares enough to ask.

It's important to:
1. Ask
2. Listen
3. Encourage action
4. Check in
