Slim, Strong, and Effective. These ideas were at the core of the design philosophy for the Batteriser. On the road to our final model, we had many prototypes: here are a few.

Most of the production and assembly process takes place in Shenzhen, China. Shenzhen is renowned as a center of industry and opportunity, and the influx of workers from all over China makes it an excellent place to sample each of the Eight Cuisines of China.

Finally, sleeve and circuitry are joined together, and the Batteriser is complete. Further testing occurs after the fusion to ensure that the product is fully functional.

The sleeves are produced separately from the circuitry, and covered with a non-conductive coating to prevent shorting.

This week, we wanted to provide some glimpses into our production process. Before the Batteriser can be assembled, the voltage management chip has to be produced and tested to meet our highest quality standards.

In 2015, 850,000 AA batteries were shipped by the Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management to be used in activities related to fighting wildfires. With the 80% increase in energy provided by Batteriser, that number shrinks to 170,000 batteries, or 680,000 less in the landfill. That's a big deal.

The Parthian battery, seen below, is roughly 2000 years old and is thought to have produced between 1.1 and 2 volts. Its identity as a battery is contentious, however, as some scientists believe it was used for electroplating gold onto copper surfaces. Either way, we're impressed.
