FREE SHOW!

Just in time for Halloween and the season of skeletons, Behind the Music-al will get your funny bones shaking with laughter as we host a conversation with songwriters Kooman and Dimond, Masi Asare, and Ewalt and Walker (additional panelists to be announced soon!) about the role of comedy songs in contemporary musical theater. How are emerging composers using the grand tradition of comedy in musical theater to tell new stories? How hard is it to be funny and still ...tell a story in song, especially in an age of YouTube clips and sound bites? For Behind the Music-al: Tickles the Funny Bones, there won't be any spooks, but there will be plenty of laughs as you enjoy some of the funniest songs these great young theater writers have created!

Tuesday, October 28th, 6pm in The Frederick Loewe Room at The Dramatists Guild, 1501 Broadway, 7th Floor.

The show is FREE - email reservations@dramatistsguild.com for reservations.
