The 2nd annual Archives Month Pecha-Kucha Presentationa event!

October 22nd 5:00-7:00pm, in the Goltz-Murray Archives Building!

What it is: Pecha-Kucha is a slide presentation format consisting of 20 slides that display for 20-seconds each, so the entire presentation is a fast 6:40.
Presenters share their expertise and enthusiasm while you enjoy complementary refreshments.

“Western Front Goes Digital: 110 Years of History” – Wednesday, October 9, 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Village Books in Fairhaven (part of Village Books’ Western Connections series)
Basics of Historical Research Workshop – Saturday, October 20, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Goltz-Murray Building (in partner...ship with the Washington State Archives, Northwest Branch)
2nd Annual Pecha-Kucha Presentation Event – Monday, October 22, 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Goltz-Murray Building (for History and Archival graduate students and Archives/Records Management professionals)
History Day Teachers’ Workshop – Tuesday, October 23, 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Goltz-Murray Building (for educators interested in participating in National History Day)

Join your friends, classmates, and other shameless self-promoters for an Archives Month spectacle:

The 2nd annual Archives Month Pecha-Kucha Presentationa event will take place
October 22nd 5:00-7:00pm, in the Goltz-Murray Archives Building!

***Try your hand at a unique, fun, fast presentation style—so amazing it’s actually patented!
***Shame/inspire yourself and your profession!
***Experience multi-sensory alchemy through the magic of mere office software!

What it is: Pecha-Kucha is a slide presentation format consisting of 20 slides that display for 20-seconds each, so the entire presentation is a fast 6:40.

How to participate:
1) Let Tony or Odette know you plan to participate as soon as possible, and no later than Oct 15th.

2)Build your presentation using the attached template—basically come up with 20 images, put them in order, and provide commentary—and send it to tony.kurtz@wwu.edu.

3) Practice and be ready to present your show to the masses on October 22.

***stuff you’re thinking about that somehow relates to Archives/Records
