I like living in Delmar for the most part, I just don't understand why the water is so awful. The smell of chlorine is like a punch in the face every time I turn my faucet on. I've never lived in a p...lace where the water was so bad. When I have people come to visit from out of town if I serve them tap water they always ask what the smell is. See More

Can't drink the water in this town - smells and tastes like a heavy dose of chlorine. And the town has never responded to years of Kenwood Ave flooding at Pine St.

I'm a black woman living in a community with very few minorities. Sometimes I am stared at and made to feel self conscious here. I do have experiences here that have been positive as well. Very friend...ly people in the neighborhood who speak and are helpful. So it's been an interesting mixture of both positive and negative experiences here. See More

I am so grateful to Sergeant Hughes with the Bethlehem Police Department. I was trying to pay for food at South Wok today and their credit card machine wasn't working........I never carry cash. Serg...eant Hughes insisted on paying for it. When I assured him I would pay him back he told me to just consider "paying it forward". I feel like I'm a better person for having this chance encounter with Sergeant Hughes. I'm forever thankful and I WILL pay it forward! What a fine representative of Bethlehem! See More

I was stopped by a Bethlehem Police officer on Rte 9W last night, around 10:15.
He asked for my license and registration. Getting right to the point, I told him I was driving my sister in laws car!!( ...Hmmm registration?)
He asked where I was coming from, I told him my brothers wife is in Hospice, and I was coming from my brothers house.
He politely responded "I'M Sorry, and told me the reason he stopped me is because I had no rear lights on. That I was driving with only running lights. He reached in and turned on my headlights. I was so grateful, because I was having difficultly seeing the road.
Thank you to the officer, my ride home was much easier, given an already upsetting day!!

The women who work in the town hall make you feel small. They are really rude and very catty...overheard them talking about one of the people that went to talk to them....so unprofessional...

We had a wonderful time today! I'm here visiting my parents with my kiddos. We started the day at the state museum in Albany and then had lunch at a perfect blend and a treat from the cake next door. ...The food was excellent! We spent the afternoon at the Slingerlands school playground and over all have had a lovely time. I was proud to hear that Bethlehem is a sanctuary town! Way to go! See More

Feeling extremely lucky to live here and grateful for our town employees who help make this such a great place to live.

For all those who labor on the weekends or late at night especially, to plow ...or salt... or like last night, to fix the water main break on my street well into the night on a Sunday See More

Moved here last year...and I'm so glad I did. Such good services for residents, excellent scools, helpful police and fire departments and friendly neighbors. All close to Albany, too!

I have lived in Delmar for almost twenty years. Best place to live, but the fact that leaves from before Halloween have not been picked up in December is rediculous and dangerous. Where do our tax dollars go?

In The Monday April 10 Times Union, there is an article about various comments about my town. What seems predominant is the continuous presence of right wing GOP FAKE news especially regarding a prop...osed reassessment. This is a great town in which to live. The schools are still the highest rated in NY state. The one negative is the constant construction of Mc Mansions that blocks out many young people from moving to the town. THIS TENDS TO INCREASE THE COST OF ALL RESIDENCES IN THE TOWN. Perhaps the town could encourage the builders to put aside panels for more modestly priced homes. See More

It is sad to see town officials so spineless when it comes to such a simple gesture, CHRISTMAS on a whole is a HOLIDAY, ya know Santa Claus and cookies and families reuniting and on and on and on and ...on

Not everyone celebrates Christmas as a religious holiday,
Since you don't want to be seen to promote it as a holiday, THE TOWN SHOULD EXPECT YOU TO WORK ON THE 25th of December.
