Taiwan officially holds bragging rights for the largest performing arts center under one room. The sprawling 1.5 million-square-foot National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts, designed by Dutch firm Mecanoo Architects, was recently completed in the southern port city of Kaohsiung. This ambitious project has been in the works since 2006 and construction on the center has cost an estimated $221 million.

Traditional rooms are in Conklin, Kohl, Kreischer, McDonald and Offenhauer. These residence halls ...have community bathrooms, which are awesome for first-year students! (You don't need to worry about cleaning or purchasing toiletries! 😉)

If you don't pay today you can still pay later, but you will need to call Residence Life to get a housing assignment. You won't get to pick your own room.
Developers on Monday unveiled plans for Chicago’s second-tallest skyscraper, a tapering shaft of metal and glass that would soar above historic Tribune Tower, resemble the top of Batman’s black mask and be only 29 feet shorter than Willis Tower. If completed, the $1 billion-plus project to repurpose Tribune Tower and build a skinny, 1,422-foot high-rise just northeast of it would bring more than 700 residences and 200 hotel rooms to an area north of the Chicago River.

Northern France is not the first place one would think of when looking to find tropical flora and fauna, but thanks to the recently unveiled Tropicalia project, that is exactly what hundreds of thousands of visitors per year will find. Tropicalia, designed by Coldefy & Associates Architects Urban Planners, will be the world’s largest greenhouse under one roof once completed in Rang-du-Fliers in Pas-de-Calais.

The University of Michigan's autonomous vehicle testing grounds are no longer limited to earthbound machines. It just opened M-Air, a 9,600 square foot, four-story facility designed for testing autonomous aircraft outdoors.

Such is the case with the firm's recently-unveiled Hôtel des Horlogers, which will enable guests to ski down from its roof to the ground via a sloping zigzagging path.
