Another great savings tip from one of our employees:
“My husband and I have a very simple plan: we don’t spend $5 dollar bills or change, we collect them in a jar! As we empty our pockets of the days “stuff”, we put the $5’s and coins aside, deposit them monthly, and watch our savings grow for vacations or other special projects/purchases. My husband recently spent a $5 bill, so he had to put $10 in the jar! It’s all in good fun, and is actually working very well for us. Every time we have something for the jar, it’s a big production and we laugh ourselves silly with glee, envisioning our vacation mad money or next project at home. We chose $5’s because there are too many $1’s and $10’s are just not doable.”–Denise L.
Check out how one of our employees saves for their retirement:
“When I first started contributing to a 401K, every year that I received a raise, I would increase my contribution by 1%. The money was being saved before I even had it in my hands!–Lori B.

Check out how one of our employees saves their money:
“On our kitchen counter we have a Mason Jar that we use to throw our change in. Once the jar is full, I bring it to the bank and use the coin counter to see how much we saved. Since my family all contributes to the jar, we use it to go out together. It’s amazing how fast change can add up. We have used the money for dinner, movies, ice cream and mini golf. It’s fun to save and then decide as a family how we will spend the money.”–Tracie M.
