Bill Stasek Chevrolet is a premier Chevrolet dealer serving the northern Chicago area located in Wheeling IL.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned).

• Knowledge of the Reynolds and Reynolds computer system preferred.
• Works with customer and technician to identify required maintenance.
• Performs road test of customer vehicles.
• Advises customers on necessary/suggested services.
• Offers additional services and repairs to customers.
• Computes cost of replacement parts and labor to restore vehicle to condition
specified by customer.
• Estimates cost of mechanical, electrical, or other repairs.
• Enters itemized estimate on service order and explains estimate to customer.
• Schedules appointments with customer.
• Maintains Customer Satisfaction scores at or above designated standards.
• Meets dealership’s standards for repair/order production.
• Work closely with extended warranty companies
Job Requirements
• At least 1 Year Automotive Retail Service Consultant experience preferred
• Reynolds and Reynolds DMS Knowledge - preferred but not required
• Proven track record
• Strong record of positive Customer Satisfaction results
• Team-oriented
• Valid in-state driver’s license with good driving record
• Successfully complete background check

I can't say enough about Stasek Chevrelote! My salesman Guillermo Hernandez was outstanding. After coming from a bad experience at another chevy dealer it was refreshing. I explained the 3 must haves ...and my price point that I needed to stay in. He actually listened and never tried to upsell me!!!! FINALLY, someone that actually listened. We discussed purchasing vs leasing, which he explained in great detail. I learned alot. I have leased for many years and he educated me on details I had never been told about in the past. I did lease again, got the car I was looking for with the options I wanted. They never tried to sell me something that I was not looking for! Stasek Chevrolet will sell you a certified pre-owned vehicle, talking up the 12 month bumper to bumper warranty the whole time, and then not stand behind the warranty when presented with a valid claim.... I bought a Chevrolet Certified Pre-Owned 2015 Suburban for $45K. The vehicle has extensive water in the driver side headlight. There is a Chevrolet factory technical service bulletin addressing water in the headlights that outlines the criteria for light replacement. My vehicle meets 3 of the 4 criteria for replacement (you only need to meet 1) but Stasek Chevrolet continues to stonewall and fail to honor the highly acclaimed bumper to bumper warranty. This is not a case of me trying to get something for nothing. This is a valid claim that is specifically being avoided by Stasek Chevrolet. Latest word from Stasek service is that the headlight is a "body panel" issue and not covered. That is incorrect. This fits directly under the Chevrolet factory technical service bulletin that specifically addresses this recognized issue. Stasek Chevrolet has very crooked and underhanded warranty servicing. Stasek Chevrolet over-promises and under-delivers. Don't buy a truck or certified used truck at Stasek Chevrolet. You will be cheated on warranty issues just as I am being cheated. I have filed a consumer fraud complaint with Chicago Channel 5 Responds on this issue to draw attention to the business ethic of Stasek Chevrolet. See More

I had a great experience at Stasek. My 06 Uplander has some serious issues after 11 good years, and Tony and Jim in service were patient while I decided whether to repair or replace. After talking wit...h Victor and then Vince on the phone, I came in and met with Sales--I saw Kurt to look at some cars, then Steve to work out the purchase, and lastly Julio to do the paperwork and get everything in order. Each of these guys were wonderful to work with in getting my 17 Traverse, and I believe I got a good deal on a solid vehicle. I would be happy to work with any of them again. I don't want to say anything bad about Stasek Chevy, I've been buying cars there for over 30 years starting back when it was Tom Todd Chevy but I wish I could have a do over for this last purchase... ...We purchased a 2017 Trax 3 weeks ago, which while on the small side, fits our needs just fine. Our salesman Mike actually drove the vehicle to our house to make sure certain items I transport regularly would fit in the back. Once we decided to purchase the vehicle, Stasek had a sunroof and heated leather seats added at our request (and our expense of course). Everybody was friendly and everything went smoothly - I picked up the vehicle a week after I "purchased' it.

I use my GPS fairly extensively so having a good navigation system is important to me. I have been using a Garmin in my previous vehicle ('07 Trailblazer also purchased from Stasek). So I asked several times about the navigation system on the Trax and was told it was included. What I didn't know until I needed to use it is how inadequate it is. First, You have to contact 'OnStar' and give them the address so they can download the directions to the vehicle. The first call was answered pretty quickly after the "OnStar' connection jingle. All operators were busy for my second call and it took about 40 seconds longer to get an operator. I wonder what will happen when I'm in a cell phone dead zone? I also had some difficulty making myself understood on one occasion. Secondly, The display that appears on the screen (as well as next to the speedometer if I so choose), lacks all but the minimum amount of information - a single gray line to indicate the road I'm on and a colored arrow to show the next turn - no map of the area. The best part of the nav system is the voice commands - very clear and easy to understand with plenty of information before each change of course. To add insult to injury, once my free 3 month - extended to 6 months with a cc on file - 'OnStar' subscription is over, so is my navigation. Well, unless I want to pay $35+ per month. I know I was lead to believe the nav system would continue beyond the 'OnStar' subscription.

Maybe I just didn't pay attention but I sure wish the nav system had been explained and demonstrated a little more during the test drive - which I presume it wasn't because 'OnStar' needs to be activated in order for it to work. I could have bought the equivalent Hyundia or Toyota with fully functioning navigation systems if only I'd know. This may be my last car for a while but you can bet I'll look other places and closer next time. Caveat emptor.

My wife and I purchased a 2017 Corvette Stingray in Feb 2017 from Bob Clegg and as far as buying a car goes, was a great experience. Bob was not pushy, answered all of our questions without being a condescending. We did not have time to go through the whole delivery process with the car with Bob, so Bob went over the highlights of the car and then told us to come back another time. We live in Wisconsin and could not make it back until June. Bob took time out of his schedule to meet with us and go over the car in detail. He could have just blown us off. For anyone in the market for a corvette I would highly recommend Bob Clegg. See More

Update 12/5/17: I'm making good on a promise I made with Dean to update my review. I bought my 2016 Impala from Bill Stasek, because I was so satisfied with the Sales Department when I bought my 2002 ...Impala. I wouldn't buy anywhere else. Heck, I even traveled 170 miles to purchase from Stasek! With my vehicle purchase, I received 2 free oil changes. The first oil change, I requested full synthetic, to which I was told there would be an additional charge, and I agreed. However, when I arrived to the cashier station, there was no charge. But on my second oil change, I requested the exact same service, but had a charge of $9. Now, $9 isn't a big deal, however the principle of the matter is. I sent in an email to express my dissatisfaction of the inconsistency (even though I left dissatisfied, they knew it, and didn't address it). I received a call, basically wasting 15 minutes of my time explaining they *probably* didn't put full synthetic in the first time. Great quality in the service department guys!! Oh but it get's worse...

I end up busting my side view mirror and take it in for replacement to Stasek. A few weeks after I got the car back, I noticed the door panel wasn't sitting right, so I figured when the mirror was replaced, they didn't seat the door properly. So, I took my car into a different dealership for an oil change, since I lived 170 miles away. I asked the new dealership to just re-seat the door. A shocking $90 bill later and my door was fixed. The ignorant service techs at Stasek broke the retaining clips behind the door! SERIOUSLY?! There is ZERO quality control in the service department at Stasek. They clearly do not check the work they do.

So, Dean reaches out and has the marbles to tell me: "You should've contacted us first instead of writing a review. Now the damage is done." Yeah, YOU'RE RIGHT! Your techs broke my car and now you're getting called out for it on social media! Rightfully so!! He told me I should've just contacted them about the oil change too, which I did, yet nothing came out of the matter, except a complete waste of time telling me they screwed up (but not actually admitting it).

After a few calls back and forth with Dean (which was my fault, because I was fuming), he cut me a check for exactly what I paid the new dealership to fix Stasek's problem. Now, I'm not looking for free stuff, and sure, the problem was corrected, but I have absolutely no desire to return to the Service Department at Stasek. 3 stars because you MET my expectations. You did the absolute minimum to correct the problem. I am seriously considering where my next purchase is going to be, as I am absolutely loving the new dealership I get my car serviced at now.

TLDR: The Service Department has no quality control. Doesn't follow directions, doesn't look over their work, breaks customer cars, and doesn't immediately admit to or correct the problem.

Thanks to Steve Shainberg, I got a car that was more than a dream come true for me. Let me tell you this guy has the real patience for anyone. I'm a typical girl who is picky and wanted the perfect ca...r for the perfect price. Working with Steve, he made that happen for me! I was going back and forth between different makes and models of a car for days and he totally understood why I was thinking that way and never rushed me.

We had a TERRIBLE experience with this company all the way from Long Island, NY.

One of their drivers delivering a car to my friend slammed their towing truck into her car when attempting to turn ar...ound on the block at night. She was awoken by the driver because he seemingly was a good guy that was doing the right thing by letting her know, which turned out to be a lie. The neighbor witnessed the driver attempt to leave the block, but quickly changed his mind when the neighbor flashed on his flashlight to check out the scene.

When she saw the damage, she was ready to call and make a police report, but the driver was hesitant and did not want her to. This was just one of the many red flags that she encountered while trying to get the situation rectified.

It then took days to get in touch with the owner of the dealership that had originally took full responsibility of the delivery truck's accident. When she finally did, Bill Stasek Chevrolet did not want to pay her the money to get it fixed, but instead offered to have her car picked up ALL the way from Chicago and brought there to be repaired. At this point, they had been so sketchy that she definitely did not want to go this route.

This was not even the worst part: It has been almost 3 months and the owner of the dealership who promised to take care of this incident has completely stopped responding. When the accident first occurred, he ensured my friend that he would get in touch with her auto body shop and take care of the damage because he did not want to go through insurance. Well, that was a mistake.

Last she has heard from him was 3/21 and her car is still damaged because he refuses to pay the auto body shop.

I just purchased a 2015 Chevy Traverse with the help of a great salesman, Galo Montero. I had had found the Traverse I was looking for on their Web page. I contacted a Victor and he told me they still... had it and I made an appointment for two days later. I drove 1 1/2 hours for my appointment. Guess what it wasn't there. I was loaned out. Galo to the rescue. He showed me a different Traverse for more money. I really needed a vehicle to tow my new camper. He got the price down to the price as the one I came down there for. All was going well till it came down to a visit with Jeff the financial guy. He really want to see me insurance and extended warranty. He just couldn't listen or hear, " I just want the car " and " I have a budget". I would recommend this dealer and Galo to people I know if they are looking for a car, but warn the about Jeff. I bought a used Cadillac XLR here in August 2016, since my purchase it's been plagued with problems. First , the plastic cover for the seat position came off/broke. I brought it in the sales manager I... spoke with was very rude. I told him what was happening and he told he they'd order the part for the cost of 125.00 and it'd take 12 days to come in. He asked me repeatedly if this would make me a " Happy Customer" I said no, because I had to pay 125.00 dollars for something I truly could not afford. He said they'd pay for it, again asking me if that would make me a " Happy Customer" I said yes it would. They said they'd call when the part came in, that was 2 months ago and I still haven't heard from them. Next about a month ago the breaks started squeaking when applied. I need new brakes for the car. And now my right front tire won't hold air. I called and was told my extended warranty didn't cover tires. Took it to a private auto shop and they replaced the valve stems but the problem still exists. I can't drive more than a mile with the tire going flat. They claim to give all their used vehicles a 32 point diagnostic check before sale. If that's true how come the problems with the seat , breaks and tires weren't found? I paid 30.000 dollars for a vehicle that has done nothing but cost me more money that I don't have to begin with. When I called my sales man Vince last night, he left my call unreturned. Never would I recommend anyone in their right mind buy a car from these folks. See More
