As much as I like football, it's time we take a stand against injustice. Recognize that this is and ...always has been about the violence perpetuated against unarmed people of color and as those who were legally permitted to carry concealed weapons being killed by police who were not held accountable for their actions. It has never been about veterans, the flag or patriotism, but about fair treatment in this country for all its citizens. See More
I recommend the BlackOut because it is just. Colin did the right thing and it is racism that has kep...t him from having a job. Trump thinks he can say and do anything he wants with no repercussions. I say I stand with Colin. Colin used his celebrity to show America and the World an injustice. In addition, Trump has been and continues to be a racist. Remember he tried to get the Central Park Five executed and they were not guilty. It reminds me of Ingram who told LeBron to shut up and just dribble as if LeBron had no life outside of basketball.LeBron is an intelligent young man who sees and recognizes injustice. As I said before this is The Montgomery bus boycott of our day. I stand with Colin. See More
I don't watch football, but who didn't hear about what happened when players decided to take a knee.... And after what Trump did the other day, who's the one who's not patriotic? But then again, taking a knee during the national anthem during a NFL game has NOTHING to do with the flag, this country or veterans - and those who continue to make that claim, well... they are as intelligent as you know who. I wish more people would stand up for what's so obviously right - no matter what their ethnic background, race or religion. Right is right, and wrong is wrong, and this is just plain wrong. See More

“This is the reason Colin Kaepernick’s protest was so significant. If we google police brutality videos the stream of videos is endless. The NFL’s recent decision to fine organizations/players for Anthem protests, along with continued shunning of Colin and pro-bowl safety Eric Reid in the name of satisfying their fan base shows that “we”-(people of color and people of conscience) don’t matter to them. They deem the cause for which he knelt insignificant. They have been able ...to successfully ostracize Colin Kaepernick and use their treatment of him as a deterrent to any future players, and yet we keep watching, buying, cheering, and supporting. We are complicit. We want people of influence to speak up about issues that affect the masses. We want them to risk everything while we are we not willing to yield up the most simple convenience. Somebody saw the NFL’s recent decision and said to me, “It’s time to start the Blackout again. My response is simply this, “We never stopped.” #blackout #blackoutnfl #imwithkaep” - Debleaire Snell
