Dear Readers; This is what one Publisher's Weekly reviewer had to say about my novel, BMM, "This dystopian screed against government-run health care is as hyperbolic as it is tedious. The author makes do with bare sketches of characters to illustrate the paranoid depiction of a future where the government lets children die when families have exceeded health care quotas and then mercilessly hunts those who go outside the system" I have not revealed this before but now the case of Charlie Gard in England makes it a timely statement of the naivete of so many in this country - .
So on November first I received my new health insurance premium - my 565 per month went to 900.80 per month -that's with 6550 deductible - so I am downgrading to an HMO - for that I will be paying 646 per month also with a 6550 deductible. My guess is thatn eventually we will all be down to medicaid - so quality of care is no longer the highest priority.
So now one of the crafters of the ACA is admitting that studies show that solo medical practitioners give better and more efficient care than groups. Sad - as so many solo physicians have given up - retired or become administrators
Please someone explain to me why it is ok for the hospitals to have gov't approved medical doctor groups with various specialties called "medical homes" but when doctors do it it's called "fee splitting?"
