1. Our callout fee is applicable whether we catch the snake or not, so it's in your best interest to do the following.

2. Please keep an eye on the snake (from a safe distance of 5 meters) while you call us, and while you wait for us to arrive. If you don’t watch it (that means standing at a distance of 5 meters and watching the snake, not waiting in the house and just watching the general area the snake was in it was in through the window), it’ll disappear and we likely won't be able to find it.

3. After you’ve called us please don’t try to chase or capture the snake in any way, this can be dangerous and if it leaves the area or hides, we likely won't be able to find it.

4. Please be honest about when you last saw the snake, if it was a couple of hours / days ago the chances of it still being there or us catching it are pretty much zero.

5. Please tell us if you’ve called multiple snake catchers and others are already on their way, if we get there and someone else has already captured the snake, our callout fee will still be applicable.

6. Please be ready to answer the door or your phone, or even better, have someone meet us on the street when we arrive while you keep watching the snake. If we get there but no-one is available to let us in, our callout fee is still applicable.

For some reason people are surprised when they hear that there's a callout fee for this service... Hospital costs for snakebite treatment can be upwards of R100,000, and in addition to putting ourselves in danger for your safety we do also have expenses such as fuel, equipment, training, and time taken away from our day jobs. Compared to the financial and health risks, a small fee to cover our time & fuel is a bargain.
