Extremely disappointed. First time dining with a larger group and it was below par. Appetizers took 30 minutes, silverware had to be asked for-my kiddos dug into the escargot with their fingers. Order...ed chocolate milk, which was beyond sour-waitress made a fresh glass but my daughter was then too fearful to drink it. Waited over an hour for our food. Both lobster meals were fishy and rubbery. My sirloin was burnt on top and had zero flavor. Both my children fell asleep after two bites bc they were starving and exhausted-husband had to scarf his meal down to take the little one to the car because we had been there for so long she was in breakdown mode. My sister did speak up about her lobster and they took hers off but made sure they charged her for a side of vegetables which kind of made me laugh, after all our bill for 10 people was well over 300$. Silver lining was our server was so very kind and apologetic for mishaps and kept a smile though the place seemed extremely chaotic. See More

Hadn't been here before, but was excited to try it. We walked in New Years Eve and we're seated almost immediately (we'd expected this, considering the Cherry Ball drop was downtown). When I looked ar...ound, there was maybe 10 tables or so, most having had their food. The bar was also packed. Our waitress took a good 10 minutes before coming for our drink order, but no biggie, we were in no rush.

We ordered a few appetizers and they came out relatively quickly. Hot, delicious, and making mouths water for more. The waitress then took our dinner orders (probably 45 minutes after sitting down). We waited another 30 or so minutes for dinner. Mind you, by this time, the dining area only had about 3 tables, and we were the only ones who hadn't eaten yet.

The food came out, and while the orders were right, the waitress mixed up the orders when setting them down (again, no biggie for us, we were out to have a good time). This is also the time the bread basket came out (a little confusing, that should be out with drinks). Food was, for the most part, delicious. I had a t-bone; I'd ordered medium rare. Half the steak was rare, half was medium well, and one side was relatively charred. I'm almost sure there was no seasoning, either. My fiancé had the new York strip and was happy with it; likewise my friend with the smothered steak and my friend with the lobster tail and crab legs, although she'd asked for extra butter on her potato and it came with no butter at all.

Waitress and busboy were both polite, attentive and friendly. Bar staff was kind and thoughtful, and made the countdown fun with poppers, noisemakers, and a champagne toast. All in all, I'll definitely by stopping by again to try out another piece of the menu.

Never been to Boone's and was not impressed. Had an employee Christmas dinner there. Made the reservation in October, called back to confirm that we would have a small room for dinner and Exchange gi...fts. When we all arrived we were told we were in the middle of the dinning room with no room to put our gift. My employees are very vibrant and get them altogether very loud and funny. (No Alcohol need be invaulve) just a fun group. We were told they don't make mistakes the person that took our reservation worked for Booms a long time and he knows the policy. We had no choice but to take the table they offered.
The positive was that we had a great waitress. The food was good but I would not make the hour drive to eat there again.

A must stop every time I am in TC! Everything on the menu is great. Word of advise... do eat light the day you go, save room for their huge portions! You won’t leave hungry! Prime rib, ribeye,... New York Strip (18 oz, is huge!) all fabulous! Bloody Mary’s are great and come with a snit of beer! Device has always been top notch! See More

Boone’s is our favorite place to eat. The wait staff is always great and the food delicious. They are also quick to respond to email questions. I just signed up for their email club so they can notify... me of specials. I got a free dessert with the meal. It was delicious also.
We will definitely return there for other meals. You can’t go wrong eating at Boone’s!

We have ate at Boones for the last 25 yrs. It has always been fabulous until tonight. My fish wasn't cooked done, the clam strips were crumbs and my fried shrimp was overly fried. I ordered the 16oz seasoned ribeye. What was edible was great but a huge portion of the steak was pure fat. The vegetable beef soup was a perfect 10, as were the crab stuffed mushrooms. The warm rolls... tasted homemade. Service was fair to good. It was really busy when we were there. Our waitress was doing her best to keep up but we felt rushed to ask questions and order. I look forward to going back again but will order a different steak. See More

We were just there last night with our best friends (10-2). We always like eating there when we were in Traverse City! Last night I ordered a NY strip steak, cottage fries and a Caesar salad. Then came looked Great, until I went to mix it up to eat. The lettuce was old and wilted. I couldn't eat it. Never mentioned it to Brian our server. Ok..steak came(which I ordered well done) just sometime medium well comes too rare for my taste. My steak was dry and no seasoning on it. I kept putting salt and pepper in it. Didn't help! We decided from now on, no more Boones! Our friend said his steak was the same way. Another in our party ordered the special which contained perch. She said it tasted rubbery! Good back No! If you just want prime rib it's delicious but don't get the over priced steak I had to send mine back 3 times it still wasn't cooked right and it had no flavor so disappointed!! We drove two hours to ...come here for our anniversary and we got just ok food! Not worth the 25.00 price tag for a steak in my opinion See More

The food was delicious! Our server was so polite and attentive. The portions were huge! My husband ordered the ribeye and I had the king crab dinner. I would definitely recommend this gem to everyone.

I haven't been here in a good 20 year and I don't recall it being this pricey.... but it was very good... had the Porthouse. I dropped about $61.00 on dinner for two and left a $13.00 tip... decided ask for a coffee to go and they changed me for another drink. SMH... See More

The service was outstanding. As for the food. I was not disappointed. I had the 22oz prime rib. It was a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the highest mark. I compare all other restaurants prime ...rib to Boone's Long Lake Inn. None have matched it yet in 37 years. See More

My husband and daughter ordered the Prime Rib and it wasn't done the way they ordered it. They need cooks or chefs that know the difference between medium and medium well. Both were rare and couldn't ...cut it for the grizzle and fat and at $25. each you would have thought the food would have been a better grade. See More

The perch dinner is simply the best! We had not been up to Traverse City in two years and we were looking forward to dining at Boone's. We were not disappointed as the food and service were excellent!

Eight of us in our party and not one complaint! Steaks are great, prepared as requested and each cut was tender. Huge dining area so don't let the full parking lot scare you away.

I loved the food, like I always do. What kept me from giving it 5 stars is that the prices seem to increase by a significant amount every time I come here.
I only make it in about once or twice a yea...r but the 22oz Prime Rib is going to cost me $50 by next year if they keep increasing the price. See More

Had the surf & turf! Excellent! BROILED lobster tail was the kicker! Can’t find that many places anymore- they all steam or grill it. Good service and VERY reasonable prices.

Atmosphere, service and food was wonderful. Our first time dining here and we will be back.

2017 New years eve being a Sunday we will be serving dinners from noon-11pm. 2018 New years day hours are 4pm-10pm. CHEERS!!!

Christmas eve, we will be selling gift cards and pre-ordered prime rib loins to go from 9am until 4pm. Our dining room will be closed both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day so our staff may enjoy the holidays with their families. We will re=open Tuesday , December 26th with normal hours. Merry Christmas!


Saturday, December 16th our main dining room and bar will be closed for a private party. We will have limited seating in our north dining room for general seating. Friday or Sunday may be a better choice for weekend dining this week. Thank you
