Bridging Education with Needy Children In collaboration with Fond du Sac Arya Yuvak Sangh Assistance to Needy Children Date: Sunday 27 December 2015 Time: 13.30 hrs Venue: Fond du Sac Arya Samaj Mandir (Royal Road, Fond du Sac) Supporting non-privileged students in their continuous learning and career path by providing school materials. Bridging Education with Needy Children is a national organisation initiative, aiming to positively transform the lives of needy children to become good citizens of Mauritius. Bridging Education is voluntary, non-political, registered NGO to provide educational and related support to the children of the poorest of poor families in Mauritius. The beginning of year is a time for festivities with family gatherings and celebrations. It is also the start of a new education life for many of our young children: our hope for the future. It’s interesting to note that many capable young but poor and unfortunate children and their families cannot afford the cost of books and school supplies to register for secondary education levels. Bridging Education has marked other milestones for the year 2015. 150 needy students were identified and selected for support and assistance to continue secondary school education. The students of the past year were offered stationery and school supplies. Bridging Education with Needy Children’s programs and assistance activities continue to extend to the past beneficiaries. The objective is to continuously encourage and motivate the large and growing family of Needy Children who will become good citizens of Mauritius and in their turn give back to other needy people. Together we are part of the new ways to collaborate for a brighter Mauritius. The chief guests, Mrs Aryawattee Boolauky, Deputy Rector of DAV College and Mr Geerjanand Teeluck of Arya Sabha Mauritius have welcomed the laudable initiative of Bridging Education in supporting the non-privileged students in their secondary school education and be part of the developing and growing Mauritius. The event was graced by Mrs Alice Ravaosolo of Le Ministère de la Population, de la Protection Sociale, who is in Mauritius, is helping in the NGO registration of Bridging Education as a branch in Madagascar. The sponsors of Bridging Education with Needy Children are: (1) Blue Sky Vacations (Canada) (2) Fond Du Sac Arya Yuvak Sangh / Fond du Sac Arya Samaj (3) Mauritius Arya Yuvak Sangh (4) Tendo Africa (5) Knight Riders Club (Pamplemousses) (6) Mr Sanjay Totoo (District Councillor of Pamplemousses) (7) Patisserie Point Gateau (8) Mrs Anita Ramjheetun (9) Mr Arun Kumar Narain Our team & Volunteers: (1) Karishma Ramjheetun (Diya) (2) Shiv Seechurn (3) Yashvind Kumar Poteeram (4) Gir Seechurn (5) Aksheeta, Preetika Nunkoo & Karishma Nunkoo (6) Anusha Bundhun (7) Shrutee Sookhoo (8) Dixsh Balgobin (9) Stevie Pooja Gerrard (10) Kimi Thagalee (11) Ria (12) Tanu Marathe & her friends (13) Ojasvi Ramjheetun, Danusha Ramjheetun, Priyaksha Ramjheetun, Sunil Dutt Ramjheetun & Asheeta Akhii Photo Courtesy: Ms Pooja Luchoo & Mr Yashvind Kumar Poteeram
