KC Ren Fest is boasting an entire vegan/gluten-free booth this year and working hard to make sure there are yummy options for those of us with different diets, so make sure to check them out!

Just for fun, we decided to throw our hat into the ring at the KC Ren Fest cupcake competition tomorrow! I had a lot of fun creating these "Dragon's Blood" cupcakes--Pitaya (dragonfruit) cake with blood orange buttercream!

Gluten-free & vegan "Zebra cakes"! Pretty delicious too, if we do say so ourselves.

At the special request of a customer, we will be whipping up a batch of vegan and gluten-free "Zebra Cakes" next week---anyone else miss these things? :) We haven't had any in years (obviously!) but now that we are thinking about them, we kinda miss them too....

We have been making some OUT OF THIS WORLD black bean brownies that we sent out to a customer for the first time today. I'm curious to see if there would be any interest in seeing these on our menu? I know they sound a little off-putting at first, but oh man...these things are good. No flour of any kind (not even our gluten-free flours), no corn, no soy or nuts--coconut oil, black beans, flax seed, and organic cocoa. Something anyone would be interested in trying?

We made way too much for our sale at Williams Sonoma today; it wasn't very busy there as we're guessing not too many people are getting out in this heat. $25 gets you this ENTIRE box of chocolate pumpkin muffins, chocolate cupcakes, red velvet cupcakes, cotton candy bubblegum cupcakes and oatmeal pies. That's a darn good deal. I also have several dozen ginger molasses cookies and a box of chocolate donuts up for grabs so let me know if you want 'em. Available for pickup today or tomorrow.

We will be selling Oatmeal pies, chocolate chip cupcakes, ginger molasses cookies and several different flavors of mini-cupcakes this Saturday at Williams Sonoma in Town Center Plaza in Leawood! Come on out, say hi and try a sample!
