The event is getting huge! Crowds are growing every year and it’s is awesome to see Native culture celebrated. After discovering my Montaukett roots I have a newfound desire to research all native cul...tures. However, future events really need to start keeping up with the demand. The vendors have remained the same from what i can tell. This year the vendors, refreshment vendors in particular, are starting to be overwhelmed and the wait for food items is becoming a distraction. We waited in line for at least 30 minutes for food on two separate occasions. I am sure there are other vendors that could be added to help the wait times. I also noticed a distinct lack of vendors who sell clothing items such as regalia and ribbon shirts etc. that would be nice to see at future events. But overall it is a great event. See More

Culture of the American native Indians is one that teaches us and many of their herbal medicines that are on the rise for health issues. I enjoy each one and pow wows are something I look forward t...o. This location is pretty awesome, wide open and roomy. Loved it and had lots of fun. See More

It was first for me and my family, certainly not the last. Yes, food lines a bit long but worth the wait. Paying tribute to our veterans was awesome but being able to join and dance in the circle with... you was a once in a lifetime experience. The dancers were very educating and knowledgeable. Thank you, looking forward to next year See More

I have gone to this event several times. The crowd was bigger this year. I enjoyed the dancing & drumming. There were more vendors than last year & there was a great selection of goods. There is one a...rea for improvement: food. The wait for food throughout the day was over an hour so unfortunately I never got to eat fry bread 😩 Also there was only one table for sitting to eat. There needs to be more seating for older people who cannot sit on ground. Hope this is improved next year. See u there!! See More

It was my first time and it was great. More people need to go and experience the great culture of the American Natives of our country. It needs to be taught in schools also. Native Americans have a lo...t of knowledge on natural cures for a lot of things. The movies have not done the native Americans justice. See More

I thought it was overall good. Lots of vendors and bathrooms, which was terrific! I was disappointed with several things though. 1.) Not enough food vendors. There were some people I met that waited 1.5 hrs. For food. 2.) Not very many dancers and only 1 drum.
Most people don't understand the meaning behind the songs, clothing, etc., so its good to explain things. However, that brings me to my third thing...3.) Only explain things at the 1st grand entry of the day. Then if people are interested, they can look up the details on the website. Less talk and MORE DANCING!

The festival was educational and very entertaining. The crowd seemed to also be fascinated at the culture of our ancestors. Thanks to the Brooksville Native American Festival for preserving our rich heritage.

I brought my wife and mother-in-law and we were all very excited to see the dancing and such. There was 20 minutes of talking and 5 minutes of dancing, which was a disappointment. Vendors were VERY pr...oud of the trinkets they were selling. A lot of missed sales due to prices. Lower the price a couple of dollars and sell twice as many. Tried the Arepas. They were "different". We were hoping to find something that the Native Americans would have made. Don't recall reading that mozzarella cheese was readily available back then. Besides, Arepas are a Cuban dish, not Native American. No places to sit to eat, and the ground wasn't very appealing after you've watched a dog urinate on it. See More

This was our first trip here. The dancing was authentic and they had a huge amount of vendors (many were actually Native!) with a fantastic amount of handmade items for purchase... far more than any o...ther Native American Festival that we've visited in the past. They also had a good amount of food & drink vendors... one of which had the MOST authentic & delicious Fry Bread ever!!! We'll definitely plan to go again next year! See More

My 17 yr. son is adopted. His adoption paperwork lists his biological maternal Grandfather as full blooded Cherokee. We try to do everything we can Native American related to educate him about his h...eritage.

I think this is the best festival our local area has to offer. It's obvious how much planning goes into it. The dancers and the costumes were beautiful. The ongoing educational monologue by the host is lighthearted and entertaining. I love that you keep the booths completely related to the theme and that they aren't filled with a bunch of tourist junk. Love looking at all the authentic items. The food trucks are great. Again keeping with the theme makes it something different and having them come from authentic sources as well. The only truck I'd like to see added is a roasted corn on the cob truck. There were a lot of those at the Native American festivals in Arizona and they're amazing. The locale is perfect providing the bleachers, very clean bathrooms vs. typical port-a- potties, shaded pavilion area. Reasonable entry and food prices AND no parking fee! Thanks to all involved for a lovely day!

It was an awesome day. This was my first time attending and I had a wonderful time. The weather was perfect! The food lines were a bit long, but managed well. There could have been more seating but fo...lks were friendly and shared their space. The vendor texts were a little jammed and hard to manuever but we managed. The jewelry and art exhibits were exquisite. We'll definitely attend again next year. See More

It's clean, the grounds. A large area for vendors. Good parking! The people putting it on are helpful with questions!
We drove 65 miles to see this!
O, the dancers were great!

Now that we have caught our breath, we want to say thank you again to everyone that came out this weekend and made the festival a success. We had record attendance Sat and while we are extremely happy with that it did cause some unexpected problems. We will work on having some more food vendors and some more seating options. We will add some port-o-lets.This flu season has affected us as much as the rest of the country so a few of our dancers had to cancel so we were a little short but the ones that were there did a great job. All and all I think it was great weekend (despite the rain on Sun) and we look forward to doing it again. Hope to see you all there again.

If you aren't excited yet, you should be.
