Death Penalty
a poem by Robert Brown
17 April 2018

I felt pain in the midst of happiness...
I felt It moving through my veins
My eyes cry blood but Im fearless
cause there's no way Im willing to exchange
the cross engraved on my forehead
Strength won't let me loose my last breath
although these legiments been broken
the faith in me raise while Im shaking
They been hearing my call
They been laughing
Try to kill me like a sitting fly on a wall
They been spitting and waiting to see me gone
but Im fearless and iron strong

Wish
a Poem by Robert Brown
April 15, 2018

I wish God could send forgiveness back home again...
so that the dignity destroyer become my best friend
I wish I could see the change when these clouds depart
I wish I knew where's the beginning of a new start
Where is the angels that went overseas
Haven't they reached the date of their release
Wish that the battle for peace
Heal whats broken and be in our reach
instead of sending them backwards
let the hope lift them high today
to witness your presence in every way
I pray for strengh while fighting the thunder
For your grace is more then a heavenly wonder.

#Baptism

#Baptism is the theme for my new collection of poems.

Baptism for me, is to be introduced to new things, to be placed on new heights by things that intend to break us down or building us as human beings.

...

After the stage of dipression and other problems, we intend to go through stuff and feels like we're all alone. In the meantime, others face the similar problems. Indeed we are family.

Like in Christianity, Baptism is the admission into the family of God, Baptism for me reflects tragedies, pain, heartache, happiness, laughter etc. of which I know theres many more with the similar problems out there. We are family of the similar issues, circumstances and challenges.

Tsunami
a Poem written by Robert Brown
15 March 2017

Let me dive in the ocean...
where love resides as an emotion
The anchor in me would let me swim in deep
Until my arms harbour you to rest, to sleep
You decide to take a swim with me
Left me to flow on the side effects of a beast
You generate new pain in me to see
what tsunami love can be.

Kings of Yesterday
a Poem written by Robert Brown
3:13 am February 01, 2018

As I look through this backdoor...
life had so much cruelty in store
Some were trained to destroy our dignity
Robbing us from our hunger and urge for unity
Apartheid had Its definition written on the colour of your face
but we saw something greater then the Kings of Yesterday
We sang and rised from the floor
Excaped from the prisons and open up new doors
King to me is just another name
cause we're all exactly the same!

Atlas
a Poem written by Robert Brown

...

Somewhere out there is a hand to hold
a Mother been saved from misery and cold
Someday these roads might lead us to stories untold
when the map of a child's life unfold
cause somewhere a boat drowns
a bomb explodes hope with Its terrifying sound
The greatful waved at a new sun
and the brave bury the gun.

Catching stars
a Poem written by Robert Brown
January 16, 2018

...

There comes a time to lay your pain to rest
when things work out and lead us towards the best
Finally, when a bird takes flight from Its nest
many obstacles will follow as a new test

And as you reach the highs of the rainbow
by crawling on your knees and elbows
God saw you from a nearby distance
and guided you in His existence

Now you believe in miracles like catching stars
believe in obstacles that could never last
Indeed, you found your pot of gold
Trust in him as you were told.
