We wanted this night to be wonderful. We were both extremely excited to go to Buku for dinner, especially since one of us had already been there before and love...d it. However, we experienced far from any kind of customer service. The food was good - what we actually received after placing our order, anyway. Our overall treatment by our waiter and management staff was sub-par to say generously.

Our waiter couldn't even be bothered to tell us the full menu or wine specials. No, instead, after he came to our table and asked us for our drink order, we had to ask him to explain the special to us that was mention by the hostess upon our seating. While this is a small issue - one that I was personally not bothered by - it still began an evening of downward decline in service.

Then the actual wine order... you would think for a $60 bottle of wine that the server would get it correct. Maybe even throw in a "very good, sir" or what-have-you. Rather, he brought us a flight consisting of two wines we did not order and a serving enough for really only one person. Then, when we politely and gently corrected him on his mistake, he - without any sincere emotion beyond his eye roll - stated his apology and returned with our bottle of wine. Which he then opened as slow as humanly possible without making any kind of conversational effort. The wine, I will say, was phenomenal.

Unfortunately, this is not where our night ends. We proceeded to order two appetizers. Optimistically, we hoped our server would get it right this time. We were brought one plate. It was delicious, really. If this was a review on food alone, I would at least rate it with four stars because that is the best vegetarian dumpling I have ever had. Our second plate never arrived...

At this point the two of us decided to forgo ordering dinner because, let's face it, after getting half our order wrong we were discouraged from any further prospects. Instead, a discrete complaint was made to the manger in which the hostess, who called him over, was rude and disrespectful and the manager simply sent his assistant to speak small words with our server at best.

As a result of this evening and the $80 spent (one bottle of wine and one appetizer - they did comp us the second appetizer we originally placed), we can say with great certainty that while the food we did happen to receive was delicious, we will NOT be going back again. Carrabbas has given us significantly better customer service and for more than half the price. I suppose money and patronage doesn't mean the same thing to everyone. عرض المزيد

Brunch on Saturday's and Sunday's totally rocks and is well worth it. I think the secret is out on them though. So, call and make a reservation on those days. i... was there today, went straight after attending Journey Church.. I remember the days you could walk right in and be seated fairly quickly. Secrets out. Great food, reasonably priced $21.95, kids under 12 are $11.95. If you have NOT been there, I think your missing a golden opportunity for a great atmosphere and brunch. I was a little skeptical at first because I could hardly pronounce the foods on the menu, but i tried the lobster appetizer, my sisters enchilada, and Califor...nia roll sushi, and Japanese deviled eggs and every food I could taste different flavors. I loved it. The mascato was very tasty. Our waiter was cute and had great service. My desert was nasty but the other stuff made up for it. If i lived in Raleigh I'd definetly go again. They also had a gluten free menu for my sister and that was awesome. Also no kids in the atmosphere. عرض المزيد

Used to be one of my favorite restaurants and would always be willing to make the trip downtown for the Massaman Hot Pot, but sometime last year they took it of...f the menu! Both my mom and I always ordered it and were very disappointed that it's no longer there. I keep checking the menu in the hopes that they add it back. Wonderful service, great food! Our group was seated close to the entrance so every time the door opened we felt the draft on our arms and legs. Next time we will request a table deeper inside the dining room ... far away from the door.

I've been there 3 times and they have yet to fail to amaze me with not only the quality of food but the service as well. I highly recommend, everything I have had has been full of flavor and the atmosphere is so great. I have nothing bad to say about this place.

My friends and I absolutely loved our dining experience!!!! Impeccable wait staff. Wow!!! Food was amazing.......tasted so good for my spirit and soul!!!! The S...angria was not ' the usual," but wonderful with fresh fruit. Of course, I simply had to have Triple Brulee for dessert and The Ginger Brulee was so good that I ordered a second one!!!!! We had an intimate dinner Thursday night to celebrate my wife's 50th. Surprise guests, and a lot of emotion. Sean, Tony, Chef Amanda, Chef Drew, everyone did ...a fantastic job of preparing the room, keeping the secret, and creating a perfect evening. The food? Spectacular. Brunch was great , staff was nice and accommodating. Recommend going later or when they first open on sundays can get busy . Food was delicious with lots of variety to cover all tastes would love more seafood options though.

First time at Buku and we were pleasantly surprised. We frequent eateries in downtown Raleigh and somehow have missed Buku. Our waiter was excellent. The food was good. Some may think it's pricey but not out of line of any other establishment in the area.

Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. However the service was 5-star. Tyler is the best server I've had in a very long time. He was attentive, gave good recommendations, and was very personable. He should be the face of buku! Thanks Tyler for a great evening!!

Atmosphere and food were nice. Deserve five stars except we had a reservation and was sat in the "lounge area" and after 15 minutes of not being asked what we e...ven wanted to drink went back to the hostess and they carried us to the dining room. Tyler was my server at lunch today. He was super attentive and patient as I reviewed the menu. I wanted to try everything. Changed my mind and order three times.... Ate at the bar with my wife. Great service, atmosphere and hospitality. We loved the little plates of empanadas, lumpia, and pierogi. Perfect portions and simply delicious! We saved room for an amazing dessert and had the Mexican dessert (Delgado?). Will definitely return!

Really nice atmosphere and excellent food. Good service but the waiter asked us way too many times, if there was anything else he could do for us. It became obnoxious, but he was nice and attentive.

Everytime I've been here, the food is delicious, the service is delightful and the atmosphere is relaxing/enjoyable. I'm a big fan of the water feature in the b...ar. It fits well with the craft beers and signature cocktails which are also enjoyable. If you haven't tried the Sangria, you totally should. It's the BEST I have ever had. عرض المزيد
