We've included information about homelessness of Women Veterans and what we are experiencing on a daily basis. My journey gives you an upclose and personal perspective of reasons why a Women Veterans Regional Transition Center and Shelter is warranted and why it should be just for Women Veterans and run by Women Veterans....

The Bully Suicide Project is a 501 (C) 3 non-profit organization. Our comprehensive programming addresses bully prevention and suicide, gives hope to victims and provides educational training to those impacted by bullying and cyber bullying behavior. We target students, Women Veterans, and seniors. Our focus lies with the arts, education, and mental heal...th of those affected by bullying and suicide, ensuring that we also bring our programs to the economically disadvantaged organizations and individuals. Therefore we partner with several organizations and individuals that enhance and support our message- "Life gets better with HOPE". We spread hope! We save lives!
Our newest initiative is to form a network of anti-bullying advocates, women and Women Veterans to bring awareness of and assist in the transition of bullied and abused Women Veterans back to civilian life and provide needed gender specific services and support in a safe, state of the art, LEED Certified facility. This challenge represents a call to action for all members of our communities, and Women in particular to Inspire, educate, and spark action from all sectors of society -- citizens, communities, businesses, nonprofits, faith-based institutions, philanthropic organizations, and government -- to ensure female service members and Women Veterans have the opportunities, resources, and support they have earned.
Our mission is to add to the spectrum of support for Women Veterans when it comes to safe and dignified care, not take the place of the VA (or any other center or facility), or circumvent their responsibility for taking care of men and Women Veterans in this country!

Please join us in welcoming the Founder of the Bully Suicide Project, Dr. Audrey Newsome, literally back to the living. After being sidelined by a heart situation that none of the doctors seemed to be able to pinpoint, and she literally "Coded Black", Dr. Newsome was brought back to life and in her words , "to continue her important work in the fight against bullying wherever we find it." Her passion is stronger than ever and the organization has added a new target audience,... Women Veterans. Dr. Newsome is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp, and after doing research while she has been rehabing, the research has confirmed that women veterans are being bullied and abused in facilities that are supposed to give them shelter and comfort and they are the fastest growing population of suicide victims! Stay tuned for the new program and find out how you can help!!!

Please help us reach 5,000 likes by sharing this link and letting your friends know that we are working hard to stop suicide and to help end the stigma surround...ing mental illness. Our Peyton hearts are being scattered in over 20 countries around the world and we are hoping to have people in every country scattering hearts for the Peyton Heart Project by the end of the year. We can't do this without you. We need people who knit and crochet to message us and let us know that they want to be part of this global project. Our project consists of hundreds of people around the world making knit and crochet hearts in any color they want (but not black). They then attach one of our positive affirmations to each heart (please DM us for the quotes file) and then they leave the hearts in public places for people to find. When they are found the people are asked to please take a photo of the heart and then post to us on social media with the hashtag #PeytonHeartProject to let us know where they found their heart. People have been posting from Australia, Canada, Argentina, The Netherlands, UK, New Zealand, and throughout the US saying that they have found hearts. The Peyton Heart Project has touched many people and they have told us stories about how suicide and bullying have impacted their lives. Several children have found our hearts and with the help of their parents they Googled our project. The parents thanked us for helping to create a teaching moment on the subject of bullying and suicide. That is the first step in our goal to end suicide and the stigma surrounding mental health issues. Helping to create a dialogue on the subject is how we feel these changes will begin to take shape. Thank you for any help you might be able to give us.
