Bad review turned good. The food was slightly above average with very little kick or flavor. Our server had "every table" (he said) and didn't want to come aro...und to ask us if we are OK. We were there for over an hour 20 minutes to get one drink & over 45 minutes to get our food and it was just a burrito. We got excuses. The manager came over and this is where returns good. He totally understood our situation and gave us a free meal for the four of us. That is the best customer service that you can get. Afterthought but it made me want to come back. عرض المزيد

Family, friends, team members... Have been lucky enough to know the menu and "the things I like" for years now so the food is amazing, when I have time to eat. Ha And from what I see it's just going to get better... #cheers

Dont claim "2$ chips and salsa " with beer purchase and not tell us when ordering it's only ONE type of salsa. Then when questioning our bill the asshole waiter... treats us like idiots. I used to love the pork burritos but the flavor has changed for me the past few years and become much more bland. Also its always about 35 degrees in there. And... LOUD. I am not exaggerating. Be prepared to freeze and not hear what the person right next to you is saying. There is great beer and drink specials but the atmosphere kind of wrecks it. عرض المزيد

ONE BARTENDER FOR 25 PEOPLE ON A FRIDAY NIGHT AT 7PM. 0/10 effort (bartender admitted defeat and barely tried- not his fault, definitely fire his manager. Whoev...er they are should be crucified for this atrocity, are you trying to run a business that people make fun of?!?! The whole town already knows an exiled sex creep owns the place, this doesn't help) if not for the adequate quality of the food. Given this corporations history of norovirus and terrible service... the bell tolls for thee, whether or not you are packed every night out of lack of a closer bar or not, this is the definition of customer service on thin ice عرض المزيد

Let me preface this review with the fact that our meal was comped at the end of this nightmare experience, and I'm still angry enough to write this detailed rev...iew so others can find a better dining experience. I have never had a more awful dining experience ever...We have been to Burrioto Union before and loved the food, but have noticed a decline in service...today has amplified that fact to the point that we will not be setting foot here ever again. We arrived around 11:15am on a Saturday looking for breakfast. We had a group of 7 people and arrived to be quickly seated. The restaurant was busy but by no means full. Perhaps they were understaffed or poorly trained, but the minute we got to our table, our awful experience started. We had a scattered waiter who messed up on orders and disappeared for huge stretches of time. We had to flag him down to fix and/or even be able to place orders. After we had all finished our drinks, without any refills or offers for refills, he finally reappeared to take our orders. We placed food orders and made requests for refills since that had not happened in the long period of time we had already been seated.... We ended up waiting for over an hour to get our food and only saw our waiter once when he dropped off our first and only refill of drinks for the day. We flagged a different waitress at one point to try and get a status-update on food and some refills or to send our waiter to the table...since it was now getting to a point of absurdity when we just wanted to tap out and leave (this waitress seemed disinterested in helping).

Our food eventually arrived...and the disaster only intensified. One breakfast order was missing Ingredients, another order of chips and salsa was just a basket of chips, and another order was set on an empty table several tables over from us. When we pointed out the problems, the waiter blamed the problems on a coworker... We asked for the missing items, to which the waiter said he'd get...and then he disappeared. We eventually went and picked our missing item up off the empty table, and ate our food with missing ingredients and no beverages. We all finished our entire meal without a single check-in, refill, or correction of materials. One person finished a basket of chips as his meal. When the waiter finally brought out the salsa, he set it on the empty tray without so much as an apology before disappearing again!!! Our now irritated group decided to cut our losses, pay, and leave.

We sat at our tables after everyone had long finished eating. We had no beverages and nobody in sight to help us out. We waited so long, several members of our group combined tabs so others could leave and go for a walk. We handed the waiter 4 black folios with payments enclosed and then we sat and waited.

We waited and waited and waited. One person in our party went to check and see what was taking so long and was told they were working on wrapping up the payments. Finally, a waitress and our waiter came to our table with all of the bills in one hand (no longer sorted in the black folios) and she asked how we wanted to figure out the bills... we all looked at her confused as we had sent our payments with the waiter earlier in black folios....3 cards to cover 6 bills, and cash to cover the 7th. It was a complicated payment and it was clearly organized earlier...

Suddenly, the waitress replied to the group, "can you stop just staring at me and help me out here..."

At this point we pointed out how incredibly rude she was being and how completely awful our experience had been from start to finish and how we were confused we were even paying for this in the first place. They made the decision at that point to comp the meal.

Burrito Union, we understand things get busy and we can overlook some inconsistencies, but this was a joke. If don't have the capacity to serve your customers, just tell us up front so you can save face and we can go elsewhere. This was embarrassing service. We won't be back. عرض المزيد

I've been going to Burrito Union for years and they consistently have great service. I'd say they have both the best Bloody Mary and the best buffalo wings in ...town. If you're into it, try their blue cheese sauce - it complements the dish so well! It's a nice atmosphere too! A great thing to do is go for a hike on the Lake Superior Trail (the entry for which is across the street) and come back for some beer and food. Highly recommended! عرض المزيد

This used to be one of my favorite place to eat but not anymore. The quality and taste of the food has really gone down hill. The chips are stale and the burrit...os are tasteless. Also you never really know what your are going to get as it tastes different every time you eat there; sometimes it's ok and other times it's awful. Last night was the last time I will ever eat there as my food was horrible. Thank god there is now chipotle and qdoba in duluth to fill my burrito cravings. This place used to my my FAVORITE restaurant in the world. The service was horrible then. Now I must say that the service is AMAZING but the food is very bland.... I've stopped in the last 4 times while I was in town hoping that the last time was just a freak accident but I was sadly disappointed :(. I may try again a few months from now, but once a crazy avocado girl can't even stomach the guacamole hopes go very low. I hope the flavor comes back! عرض المزيد

I worked here for 3.5 years, the place was my second home and the people were my family. I was blessed to meet Luke and be a part of his life. I used to practic...ally live there and now I only return to drink STIPA and to see the very few employees I worked with that stayed.

I cannot believe you got rid of JERK sauce! How could you? I nearly cried at the bar and I have not been able to fill my craving since. The Happy Worker?! You took away Duluth's most favorite items.

I am broken hearted and so sad to see the place turn into what it is now. I feel like after Luke passed, so did the Burrito Union we all knew and loved.

Expect to get a different sized burrito every time you order. They range from fitting the size of a baseball to a football. They used to be way bigger (two fist... was an option) and cost less, but now it's a total rip off. They also consistently screw up orders like which salsa you prefer or "no beans."
