2 Arrested For Trafficking Crystal Meth

Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones reports that on August 20th, Butler County Undercover Narcotic Agents arrested two people on drug charges following a lengthy investigation.

BURN Agents received information that the subjects would be entering Butler County from Georgia carrying a significant amount of crystal methamphetamine.

Agents located the suspects on Pleasant Avenue in the City of Fairfield, and a traffic stop was conducted. Over a ¼ pound of methamphetamine and $1,000 US currency was confiscated. Lori Strasser, 45 year old female and Brenda Dungan, 52 year old female were charged with trafficking in drugs and possession of drugs, both felonies of the 2nd degree. “We have competitors telling on each other which is good for our business, people are tired of this stuff, it affects everyone. We are happy to intercept the drugs and the criminals bringing them here,” said the Sheriff.

The drugs have a street value of around $30,000 dollars. “We are seeing a lot more of this type of distribution coming into the county. Luckily, we obtained great information to stop it before it was sold to anyone,” said Sgt. Jason Owens.

More charges are possible pending Grand Jury.

Hi! I showed up at the Butler County Sheriff's Office 9-1-1 Center tonight, near Princeton and Hampshire in the City of Hamilton. I've been getting lots of attention from dispatchers, in between 9-1-1 calls. It's noisy in here, but I don't mind. I knew just where to go to get help when I got lost. I'm a very good boy.

Owner, are you out there looking for me? Call the dispatchers at 513-785-1300 if you see this soon. They're going to deposit me at the Animal Friends Humane Society at around 9:30PM, so if you see this after that, you'll need to go there in the morning to collect me. Bring treats.

For the first time, the Butler County Sheriff’s Office will be participating in a demolition derby. The Hamilton County Fair Derby is tonight at 7:30 PM and will consist of several celebrity drivers. After that the cops get their turn to have a little “fun.”
