Students in the 5th Grade Cattle Project repaid the generosity of local artist Jason Cole for donating their class brand by advertising for his custom metal business called THE BURNISHED ANVIL. Students produced a commercial, made business cards and put together a display board for parents and friends to view at the Chili Supper. Please share this advertisement and spread the word about this modern blacksmith who has been so helpful to our project-based learning!
6th Graders concluded their Social Skills Unit with a live "test." Students visited with community members putting introduction skills into practice as well as perfecting the art of small talk. Adults were present as well as randomly chosen seventh graders who came back to help 6th grade students practice speaking to both adults and youth. We are very grateful for all the guest who volunteered!
Fifth graders are selling their cattle project plaques for $10 at CCES anytime during regular school hours. Yesterday they performed and edited a commercial to give you more information.
