The library is nestled in an ideal location Downtown Cd'a. Close enough to the trails at Tubbs Hill, galleries, shops, cafes, and restaurants. A great place to take a break from the hot summer sun, or... come winter-time, a comfortable place to cozy up to a great new read. The staff is always friendly, welcoming, and eager to answer any questions. See More

Staff is rather rude. The lady working in the children's section was really talking down to a lady with her child. The crime was that they walked in the door 1 minute early to stay warm and she felt the need to continue to belittle the lady for another 5 minutes to include pointing at her. I was kind of embarrassed for both parties myself. See More

Coeur d'Alene Public Library is a superb library in every area.

The staff is most helpful. ...

If they do not have it they can order it.

We are blessed to have such an excellent staff, and an outstanding Director.

Of all the libraries I have been to, this by far has the worst toddler story group. I am appalled that anyone would allow Susan to continue working with children, or the public for that matter. Having... the expectation for a two year old to sit still and not talk for the duration of story time is unrealistic and uninviting. To STOP a bubble machine because a two year old is giggling and running around trying to pop them is ABSURD!!!!!! You didn't make an example out of him or myself, you just made yourself look like an unfriendly woman. Laughter is contagious, your bad attitude is NOT. See More

My granddaughter asked to make friends. So I looked up what CDA offered low and behold toddler time was that day. She had fun and we will be doing it again.

I love the CDA Library! The only thing I wish they'd change is to set up Firefox and Chrome browsers on their computers. IE sucks!
