Due to several tips regarding a nationalist militia/fascist mobilization against this event, and increased police presence and repression at the Capitol since y...esterday, we are currently reorganizing our plan for tonight. We no longer recommend arriving to the capitol at 6pm, especially alone. We are continuing to encourage thoughtful autonomous direct actions expressing rage against colonialism, imperialism, and white supremacists settler fascism. When the migrants arrived to the wall, they walked directly alongside it to assess the safety of getting onto US land to immediately surrender for asylum as is allowed under international law and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. At this point there were only about three to four border patrol vehicles at the scene. Within half an hour of the migrants continuing this slow walk along the border, approximately 20 vehicles had arrived on the US side of the wall. Migrants sat quietly against the wall in the hopes that CBP would not engage them and might disperse to smaller numbers. While migrants sat against the wall, a number of CBP agents walked alongside the concertina wire. Agents then threw projectiles at the wall in an attempt to intimidate migrants. A small number of migrants ran away from the wall and up a dirt hill on the Mexico side. As that small group of people dispersed, CBP agents threw a single tear gas canister over the wall. As it deployed, the rest of the migrants scattered and retreated up the hill.
