Testimony translated to English from Kurdistan : CYCI is the only humanitarian organization that came to help us 3 times. Winter clothes and essential food were distributed to the Yazidis from sinjar that escaped Isis. We made another distribution in July of 2016. God bless our supporters and volunteers.

This story hits home for me

Emad needs our help, again!!

Hala, the Yazidi girl in the photo is Emad's aunt!! Nofa (Emad's mother) believed that Hala her sister... had been killed at the hands of Isis years ago but found out days ago that she is alive and living a nightmare.

Emad ( in pictures below with his mother sitting next to me ) is the boy that we all tirelessly worked on to bring back to Canada alive and well.

Please help me Share her picture and story to the world. Hala is alone and she desperately needs our help..

The Yazidi cause is something I hold very close to my heart.
I receive messages nearly every day from Yazidis in distress and it breaks my heart that the international community is failing this innocent community.
They were victims of the most brutal terror group, Isis yet their own government failed to protect them which resulted in atrocities rarely witnessed in modern history.

This story is heartbreaking and I wanted to share it with all of you.

Hala Mahlo Ravo is a Yazidi victim of the Isis genocide, she was rescued after spending years in captivity being raped and abused by her captors since the age of 17.
Shockingly, she was never returned to her family but kept by the Kurdistan Peshmarga army in detention lingering in prison since 2017 . Her family learned of her fate through another Yazidi girl that was freed.
The family has been knocking on every door to get her release but the government has been delaying her request.
In recent news, Isis who published information of a known Kurdish hostage asked for an exchange, the Isis fighter wants Hala back!! This has been ongoing for some time now and it seems the government was contemplating sacrificing Hala, a Yazidi instead of a Kurdish citizen.
Where does it stop? Where does a government draw the line ? It has been 6 years since the Isis onslaught on this community and the displaced Yazidis are still living in dire conditions in camps across Kurdistan.

Hala is a young adult who has suffered enough, I invite everyone to raise awareness about her fate.

Information from Mirza Ismail FB page :

Hala Mahlo Ravo with her family were kidnapped by ISIS on August 03, 2014, in Qahtaniya village, when she was only 17 years old; she and her sister were separated from the rest of their family members in Talafar city and were transferred back and forth between Iraq and Syria by the Islamic State terrorisms, they were subjected to sexual slavery.
When Hawija was liberated by Iraqi forces in October of 2017, Hala was held captive there by the ISIS and was liberated, somehow she ended up in the peshmergas’ hands, the second ISIS for the Yezidis and she has been in prison by the KRG authority in Erbil since then. According to some sources on the ground 6-7 months ago, a woman from Mosul, who was also imprisoned by KRG called Hala’s brother Dakheel telling him that his sister Hala is in prison with her in Erbil. For the last 6 months, Dakheel is knocking doors of the government Officials doors seeking help to free his sister, but unfortunately, he failed to get any support to free his sister Hala Ravo!

However, in a recently released video by Rudaw TV interviewing of a Kurdish family, whose son (Jalal Baban) is held by ISIS, and the ISIS fighters are asking the Kurdish family that the only way to get their son Jalal, would be exchanging with the Yezidi girl Hala Ravo. And therefore, the Kurdish family of Baban is asking the KRG help and free their son Jalal Baban at whatever the cost may be. The given timeframe for this issue is only 10 days!

Hence, the Yezidi Human Rights Organization – International is calling upon the UN, the Iraqi government and all International community to take immediate action and free the survived Yezidi girl Hala from the KRG prison!
A traumatized Yezidi girl Hala Ravo cannot be exchanged with an ISIS prisoner!

Free Hala Ravo Now!
