First thing you see when you walk in is a huge portret of Jerry Garcia, cool! They have a great menu for meat-lovers, veggies, vegans, great desserts, they got... it all. Their food is fresh, tasty and original. I had ribs with peach-ginger bbq sauce, it was to die for. Their breakfast and (take-away picnic) lunches are equally as great. They play great music and the whole place has a great vibe. See More

Loved this little cafe, excellent food/unique choices on the menu. Portions are large, I took my food to go and had the other half for lunch on the road. Soooo good!

Amazing Selection of Vegan and Vegetarian options each night! And the steak and Pork chops are Phenomenal too! After a great dinner, the spa downstairs is a perfect place to Relax!

Just stayed at the bug last week and enjoyed some buckwheat blueberry pancakes (the best i every had) chicken wings and a watermelon salad to die for! Everythin...g was fresh and delicious! I have paid more money for meals that were not nearly as good can,t wait to go back for those chicken wings yum!!!!! See More

Omg let me just say that I have been here 4 times and every time it was better than the last. The first visit was amazing, so I didn't think that could be toppe...d, voila it was. Then the 3rd visit topped the 2nd and the 4th holy cow it yet again topped the 3rd! Wow hard to believe. So tonight I'm going to eat again for my 5th visit to top my 4th visit! We went there for breakfast twice and dinner once. I preferred dinner over breakfast. My dad enjoyed his pork chop, my husband liked his eggplant sandwich and I was "meh" about my chicken entree. It's the only place to eat on highway 41 in Midpines so it definitely was a lifesaver.

I'm local, so have chance to eat here once or twice a month, and it is consistently very very good, and the menu is inspired, seasonal and always changing. We are having our Christmas dinner feast at the Bug this year, and can't wait!

Unique. I know this is about the Cafe, but last night at a wedding event, Caroline was REALLY great and very helpful in taking care of my and everyone else's n...eeds. thank you for helping me get back to my car after shuttle stopped! ps, the stuffed mushrooms served as an appitizer were very delicious. The food was amazing! The meat and mashed potatoes were perfectly prepared and the produce served was in season. Very relaxed atmosphere, just come as you are and enjoy.

We just ate dinner, there. Outstanding food! Fresh ingredients with wonderful flavors and friendly, smiling staff.

So glad we found 'The Bug!!' Will, definitely, be back!! The chef, obviously, loves food!!

Everything was good they just need to stay open later for people to get back from Yosemite. Not many food options in midpines especially later.
