Our University and our Nation are in crisis. The just and equitable United States that we envision does not exist. The just and equitable Cal Poly that we envision does not exist. At Open House, we are supposed to showcase the entirety of our university. We choose to highlight ALL of our campus-- including the crises that we are (and have always been) under.

----------
SOME EXAMPLES OF OUR CRISES:
- Over the past 18 months, 100% of our Cross Cultural Center staff have left th...e University. 40% of black staff and faculty have left over the same period of time.
- 1 in 4 California State University students are food insecure, and 1 in 10 are homeless.
- Tuition has increased 283% since 2002, and is set to increase another 5% next year, despite the continued resistance by our communities against these increases. Cal Poly SLO also has the highest tuition and fees of all CSU campuses.

----------
Since our University leadership continues to ignore the crisis we are in, we are taking it upon ourselves to educate, organize, and empower our communities. We will come together with one united voice to demand a socially just and equitable campus, a campus climate where everyone feels safe and valued, free and accessible higher education, and administrative accountability.

Edit: They've blocked me but at least they're excellent shitposters.

Edit: They're not shitposters after all....

Also note that I don't hate you guys. I hate your tactics. Cause y'all just shitpost but not ironically.

Let me expand on why I gave this group a poor score. It's not because of their message; the message that LGBTQ+ students should be accepted and have equal rights, that I have supported since high school.

It is their tactics. The tactics of attacking the freedom of expression and freedom of speech that we have in this country. The tactic of harassing a professor who has nothing to do with the bringing of Milo onto the campus in January. The tactic of attacking anything that does not fit in with their narrative as either "racist" regardless of whether or not it is, "sexist" regardless of whether or not it is, or "homophobic" among others.

That's why you guys get a 1.

Not even that good at shitposting. Needs a lot of improvement before Milo comes to shut them up

Definitely not gay enough. Could be gayer. They are arguably TOO good at annoying all the bigoted entitled white kids at Cal Poly.

Close minded bigot communists who are trying to stop Milo from speaking, hence violating his 1st amendment right to free speech and assembly.

They hate gay people with different opinions to them. Homophobes.
EDIT: They blocked me from commenting on the page when I called them out on being fascists (while claiming to fight against it). THANK YOU FOR PROVING MY POINT.

This page is hypocritical and bullies someone who doesn't agree with their political beliefs.

happy international working femme & women's day! i do not believe that feminism will effectively challenge patriarchy by using the gender binary because patriar...chy is the institutionalization and maintenance of the gender binary. the problem is not just cis men's dominance over cis women, it is about the existence of "man" and "woman" as oppositional & mutually exclusive to begin with. feminism must address the root causes: that gender is foundationally violent and that gender non-conforming people experience the brunt of this violence. centering intersex and gender non-conforming people in feminism is not "politically correct," it is correct. cis feminism is not feminism, it is patriarchy. trans exclusionary feminism is not feminism, it is misogyny. the future is not "female," the future is free of racist and essentialist ideas of "gender" and "sex."

Janet Mock
I just read the news that the Trump administration decided to roll back protections for trans students, and it weighs heavily on me.
I was in the seventh grade when I first vocalized that I was trans. I began socially transitioning in middle school, medically transitioning as a freshman, and reintroduced myself as Janet as a sophomore at a welcome back ceremony. I was our class treasurer, captain of the volleyball team, and played tuba in the marching band.
Like all young people, I was growing comfortable in my own skin while discovering what I loved, what I wanted to do, who I wanted to be an...
