The Fraternal Order of Moai Kon-Tiki chapter is pleased to announce a $500 donation to SICSA (The Society for the Improvement of Conditions for Stray Animals), a Dayton nonprofit that has helped find homes for more than 50,000 homeless dogs and cats.
Funds for the donation were raised last summer at Call of the Tropics, a festival of tiki art, music and mid-century culture held in downtown Dayton' s Oregon Arts District. The funds were raised via sales of a commemorative Georgie Rudin's Tropics T-shirt, done with the blessing of the Rudin family, and a charity art raffle featuring works by Robb Hamel, Derek Yaniger, Ken Ruzic, Travis Lewis and Sophista-Tiki, among others.

The Kon-Tiki chapter will be rocking out Saturday, Feb. 16, to the wild surf sounds of The Madeira and Team Void at South Park Tavern in Dayton.
Doors are at 9 ...pm and there is a $5 cover. The show is from 10 pm to 12:30 am. C'mon out and join the Kon-Tikis for killer surf rock, great beer and FOM fellowship!
