Cal Trans Has been working 24 hours a day to facilitate opening the 101 freeway in Montecito again. Their workers must be exhausted. They went above and beyond the call of duty.

There was some late winter rockfall along the Highway 1/Big Sur coast at Mud Creek last week but road reconstruction is progressing well. We should soon have a schedule update for its opening so stay tuned.

HEADS UP: with Spring Break and some vehicle incidents, there is very heavy traffic this pm commute for several miles along #Hwy101 from SB to Carpinteria so use caution and expect delays.

SigAlert: the right slow lane of southbound #Hwy101 will be CLOSED for several hours in #PismoBeach at Price St due to overnight big rig fire so use caution and expect morning commute delays. The northbound lanes remain open.
