I’ve attended for a couple of years with my kids, and have always felt the need to focus on taking the meat and leaving the bones, but it was worth it to me because I appreciate the atmosphere of wors...hip they provided for me to commune with Spirit. Today’s closed-minded, judgmental message from the senior pastor was as offensive as it was disappointing. I figured he may hold to some of these views, but until today had never heard him spew this type of condescension from his platform.

If you’re the type of fundamentalist Christian who thinks things were just better in the good ole days, that people should all fit into church-defined or denomination-defined boxes, this will be a great church for you to call home.

However, if you aren’t straight, if you don’t identify with the gender traits you were confined to by your birth certificate, if your definition of marriage doesn’t align with Mike Pence’s (the church would say the Bible’s definition, but I can give you numerous examples in the Bible that don’t align with their definition), then you will not find a safe place to grow here.

Exclusion isn’t the right growth strategy for the church or the family of God, Pastor.

Pastor Billy Z at CalvaryChatt is such a blessing. He really captured the truth with his message yesterday about finding joy and singing God’s praise during the unbelivable times in our lives. With ag...e we do become more bitter and loose our childhood wonder. The contrast between Zachiriah’s and Mary’s responses to the Angel’s good news about the coming births of John and then Jesus really exemplify this well. Christmas is the perfect time to rediscover our wonder in the Hope brought to us through Christ! See More

My wife, my kids and I just moved here from upstate NY. Rachelle and Ken Faith invited us to Calvary Chatt and we absolutely love it so far. Tonight was our 2nd Saturday here and we were so blessed by... the music and Brian's Message. Billy's message last week was also great!!! Our kids said they love the church, which we were pretty happy about. We also met Pastor Tim tonight, very hospitable and funny by the way. We are pretty excited about being here. We really want to get plugged in and also minister here at some point. See More

We moved back to the Chattanooga area this past summer with hurting hearts...
This was the first time my family has ever had to 'look for a church home', and we weren't looking forward to it to be hon...est. We were introduced to Calvary through family at a Christmas Eve service in 2014, and knew God was at work here! Once we moved here we visited a couple other churches, but after a few weeks at Calvary, the search was over.
The worship is engaging and God honoring...not a show. Participation based instead of performance based. It's refreshing to hear so many voices in the audience singing out!! The teaching is spot on and biblically grounded, we couldn't stay if is wasn't!
The staff is transparent and genuine...and approachable.
Our two teenage boys attend OneYouth on Wed nights and enjoy the worship, message, and small groups. Several student have been kind to reach out to our boys, which is a product of 'Rescipleship' as Pastor Frank phrased it.
My wife and I just went through Group Start and are now facilitating a small group and love it! It had been 6+ months since we had been connected in church and we needed it desperately! Our next step will be to begin serving again...we are healing, step by step.
Our family needed a place to heal and continue growing...we thank God for sending us to Calvary Chapel to do just that!

I can't say enough good things about our home away from home.
Pastor Frank is on fire!!!
An awesome teacher!...
The music (praise and worship) is amazing!
I'm always in tears:
Tears of conviction.
Tears of joy.
Tears of understanding.
Always a meaningful personal experience.
We love it here!
One of the highlights of our week is meeting Jesus in this holy spirit filled house!

Love Pastor Frank ❤️ No matter the size they make you feel at home. Love the South Florida feel in Chattanooga since husband is from Coral Springs and there is a Calvary Chapel close when we go home

The teaching is sound! Praise and Worship amazing! I am not the kind or person that shows emotion openly, nor do I "fake it" in public. However, God meets me here every time I attend. The presence of ...God is so strong that I can't help but become emotional and often cry like a baby. It is truly a place where God speaks to me! See More

There are many reasons why I like Calvary Chapel Chattanooga. One is the abundance of young adults each week. Another is my small group. I've been in Chattanooga and CCC 1 year and my weekly small... group has added significant value to my life and adjusting to Chattanooga. The preaching is tremendous not only the senior pastor but also the dozen associate pastors. I am very happy with Calvary Chapel Chattanooga. See More

1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

Ephesians 5:11 Walk as children ...of light (for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, for anything that becomes visible is light

Why would anyone enter a low lit dark room filled with artificial light and worship Yahweh? Wake up. Did the disciples play music in the background while Jesus prayed? If the weather is 74 degrees and sunny skies why would anyone worship our God in a dark low lit room filled with concert lights. Open your eyes.

No need of a Pastor.
Galatians 1:9 For I would have you know, brothers, that the gospel that was preached by me is not man's gospel. For I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it, but I received it through a revelation of Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my former life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God violently and tried to destroy it

1 John 2:27
I write these things to you about those who are trying to deceive you. But the anointing that you received from him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone should teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about everything, and is true, and is no lie—just as it has taught you, abide in him

John 4

The other day I played two videos. One video was a christian worship video, the other was a secular concert. When the volume is turned down, you cannot tell the difference between the two.

Revelations 22:11 Let the unrighteous continue to be unrighteous, and the vile continue to be vile; let the righteous continue to practice righteousness, and the holy continue to be holy."
This scripture will soon be reality.

The worship experience is really good and everyone loves Pastor Frank but the amount of services is quite frankly ridiculous, the parking is ridiculous and the size of the sanctuary is way too small. ...It's ridiculous that we have to get there half an hour early just to get a seat in the sanctuary and then when we get there we are stressed out because there is such a huge line and we are worried about fighting the crowd. The church either needs to build a bigger sanctuary or do something so less people will come because it really is a problem. Also because it's so big it doesn't really feel like you're a part of the church or a community. It's more like going to church with total strangers and you hope you see someone you know. :) See More

My husband and I knew God had called us to Calvary the first time we attended, and further confirmed this fact when we attended Calvary Connected. This is a church that loves God, loves people, and ha...s a passion to bring the two together. The leadership is wonderful, the foundation is scripture, and the children's ministry has a tremendous direction that we feel so blessed to have our children grow into! See More

My family & I visited this church after moving back to Chattanooga. After one visit we knew in our hearts that this was where God wanted us. Almost 3 years later we are involved and excited to see wha...t the future holds for us. Our 15 year old attends Calvary Youth every Wednesday and has been privileged to attend the Dominican Republic Youth Mission trip. Pastor Frank & his staff love the Lord and the people. Their hearts are genuine. Looking for a church that is interested in people, this is it. Not to mention their obedience to Gods direction for the church body. Love Calvary Chapel and the people. Worship team is second to none!!! Glad to serve at this church!!! See More

Thank you Calvary Chapel! After moving to our new home and my pastor leaving our church, my family and I tried to find a new church in the area we moved to, but to no avail. Then my daughter visited and encouraged us to visit. I'm so happy she did! I feel like I'm home again, after wondering in the wilderness of trying to find a new church. Thanks again Calvary Chapel, your an answer to my prayers. See More

Today, only 16% of the world lives without access to electricity. Only 15% of the world lives without access to a mobile phone. Yet 40% of the world lives without access to the Gospel. That’s 2.8 billion people without the message of Jesus Christ. The need is real. The need is urgent. And God wants to use YOU to meet that need...Where will you go?

A little bird told us there might be a special guest in the house this weekend! Don’t miss this fun surprise!

We're still chewing on last weekend's message. Which point have you been thinking about this week?

God’s providence brings us:

1. Peace while we wait on God...
2. Rest while our enemies worry, strive, and fret
3. Confidence that those over us are under Him
4. Assurance that behind natural things are supernatural purposes
5. Wisdom and insight into the reality of life
