Our response to the murder of George Floyd:

"Cambridge People’s Assembly Against Austerity sends our solidarity to those in the United States and around the world protesting after the murder of George Floyd by police officers in Minneapolis on 25th May. We are appalled by the violence and repression inflicted by the police as protesters stand up against the racist American state. We acknowledge that the UK also has a deep-seated problem regarding the justice system and people of colour. We condemn infringements on the rights and safety of all indigenous and BAME communities around the world. We recognise that we are all part of this system and that to challenge it we must be actively anti-racist. We will do everything in our power to elevate BAME voices in our movement and beyond. There will be no social justice without racial justice."
